MRC’s Lean Master CertificationIn their book, The Machine that Changed the World, James Womack and Daniel Jones coined the phrase “Lean” while comparing the cultural and enterprise system differences between Japanese automobile manufacturers and their American and European counterparts. From their research, Lean practitioners have learned that successful Lean transformations require not only making system improvements but also addressing cultural issues. The MRC’s Lean model emphasizes Strategic Lean Transformation through Cultural Engagement.

Purpose:To enhance an individual’s change agent skills by building personal relationships, Lean system design, and strategy deployment competencies.

Description: Facilitated by MRC’s Lean coaches and nationally recognized Lean experts, the Lean Master Certification Program develops the change management skills of those responsible for creating and managing an internal Lean Enterprise program.

The program provides opportunities to: ■ Network and share experiences with other local Lean practitioners.■ Visit local manufacturers to benchmark Lean best practices.■ Participate in on-site Lean tool applications to enhance workshop learning.■ Enhance your ability to facilitate both systematic and cultural changes.■ Receive A3 project mentoring from MRC’s Lean coaches.
