The Ancient Chinese built the Great Wall ofChina to protect themselves from the barbaric
hordes of the north. It was
too high to climb over, toothick to break down, and
too long to go around.
Security is supposedly
achieved! But during thefirst hundred years of the walls existence,
China was invaded three times.

There is great demand for integrity in
leadership than ever before both inthe business world and church (Backaby,
H & R. 2001. p. 104). In politics
the same cry people were bored
with unfulfilled political promises
and corrupt practices of
government officials. Integrity is
what people want to see withtheir leader.

What is integrity? Its primary meaning
is wholeness or completeness. Integrity
comes from the word integer, which is
a whole number,
not a fraction.
Only secondarily does
it mean honest or sincere. Its basic meaningis unimpaired condition, sound or
complete (Johnson, 2008. p.156).

According to James F. Bracher (2010),
Integrity is congruence between what you
say and what you do, as well as what you
say about what you did . . . . never
compromising. Firm to stand for the right
and ready to pay the price to what it holds,
stood and believed.

Biblical Foundation of Integrity
The biblical virtue of integrity points to a
consistency between what is inside and what is
outside, between belief and behavior, betweenour words and our ways, our attitudes and our
actions, our values and our practices (Boa. p.
15). Biblical integrity emphasizes the harmony
of what is said and the practice.

Warren Buffett hiring criteria:
integrity, intelligence, and energy. Hire
someone without the first, and the other
two will kill you(p.9.). This is a clear
and striking points that even how
talented and energetic the person is, but
missing the personal values of integrity,
that person will bring more harm than
good in any organization.

Leaders without integrity may promote
worthwhile causes, yet fail to gain
peoples loyalty because their lives
discredit the validity of their proposals.
When leader live a life of integrity, their
followers assume they are trustworthy to
lead (Blackaby, H & R. p.107).
