At an annual growth of 3.2%, current estimated figures give 2,748,441 (Male: 1,392,561, Female: 1,355,880).
Highly educated and skilled manpowerActive youth: 60% of estimates
ECONOMYECONOMYMain preoccupation is subsistence farming. Instances of commercial agricultural ventures dots the landscape.
Major agric produce are cassava, rice, yam, cocoa, coffee, palm oil.
Other economic activities involve mining of solid minerals (clay, kaolin, columbite, bauxite, granite, etc). - - Trading activities occur on small, medium, and large scale levels.
