Charles Dickens as well as by
him, but you can Refine Your
Search.

On the left are ways to Refine Your Search. For instance, scroll down the page and click on “Charles
Dickens” as Author.

When you’ve run a search, click on a title or the “Check Availability” button. (NB. The “Save”
buttons DO NOT reserve items.

Click the “Reserve” button and you will be asked to log in with your card
number and PIN.

Select your collection site from the drop-down list and
then click “Reserve”.

There is usually a charge of 60p for
reservations, payable when you collect the item, although some
people are exempt.
We will notify you by email, text,
voicemail or post when your
reservation is ready to collect.

You might want to create a list of titles to
make a book list or bibliography.
To select a title click Save to My Lists.

FAQs• Q. How do I join the library?• A. In person at any library or online. If you are under 16 you can join
the library by yourself – we will send your parent/carer a letter to tell them about the services you are entitled to.
• Q. I have forgotten or don’t have my PIN. • A. Contact a member of the Library staff. They will be able to tell
you what your PIN is providing you give satisfactory confirmation of personal details against the information we hold, or by providing proof of identification such as driving licence, passport.
• Q. How do I renew my items?• A. Unless your books are reserved by another customer, they can be
renewed up to 10 times without returning them to the library. You can renew your library items in person, by phone or online.
FAQs• Q. Do I have to pay to request a book?• A. Reservation charges apply for most book requests although some people
are exempt. Charges do not apply for CDs or DVDs in stock in Lancashire.
• Q. I have not received notification of my reserved items. • A. You can login to your account and check if the item is ready for collection.
Please contact us and confirm that we have your preferred method of notification (email, text message, automated phone message, or post) and correct contact details.
• Q. Can I request an item not listed or suggest a book for stock?• A. Items not listed in the catalogue can be requested but we cannot
guarantee the item can be supplied. We will consider all recommendations, but it may not be possible to purchase all suggested items.
• Q. Why is there no image on the catalogue for some items?• A. Because the image suppliers don’t have access to all the covers.
