    Lutheran Chautauqua Week

    Lakeside, OHJune 21-28, 2014

    Dear Friends of Lakeside,

The last time we were together in the summer of 2013 as the Lakeside Lutheran

Chautauqua Family, we sang the song GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE MEET

AGAIN. We sang it with the anticipation and hope that we WOULD meet again. After a long, cold, snowy winter, here we are, inviting you to the 2014 Luther-

an Chautauqua week at Lakeside June 21-28. This invitation comes from Chau-

tauqua leaders like Sherri Schafer, who has prepared this mailing, John Walker,

Amy White, Ted Stellhorn, Joe Bartczak and myself, the 2014 Chairman, all who

have been working with the Lakeside Association to make your week at Lakeside

    renewing, restful and fun.

Our Keynote speaker this year is Dr. Joy Schroeder, professor of church history

at Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Her theme for the week is Wild Women and Wild

Men: Unconventional Heroes of the Bible.

If you have not made arrangements for your housing, now would be a good time

to do that. If you have any questions about details of the week, hopefully they

can be answered in this mailing, but if you have any further questions, please e

-mail me at [email protected] call me at 419-878-0266. I look forward

to the week at Lakeside and seeing you this summer.

    Pastor Steve Bauerle

women, forwomen, and bywomen who aspired to leadership roles in church, syna-

    gogue, and society.
