The accident happened during mid-day on the St Vincent street, Miss Kirah harry was sent flying across the car by a dark blue Magan while trying to cross the road after leaving the local post office.

Police still do not know who the driver of the car was or why the individual was driv-ing at considerably dangerous speeds.

Miss Harry was lucky to be left with just a few minor injuries and a broken wrist. According to witness they where shocked to see that she was still alive after been knocked down a speed themselves.

Police believe that person involves in causing this accident could also be involved in another crime that occurred earlier in the day in which an elderly ladies house was robbed.

According to the woman the burglar d rove a blue Magan identical to that of the one that hit Miss harry. Miss harry is not the first person to be knocked down along the stretch of road.

Just last year an elderly man was also knocked over the on the same road when a car came racing around the corner of the road.

putting in speed bumps and more camera’s.

Police have now been put on duty around the area to patrol and look out for any cars that are going at dangerous speeds as well as encouraging road safety.

The council have now prom-ised to look into the safety of the road and adding level and speed cameras so that there will be less accidents happening.
