The images of different animals convey a fantastic view on the animal world to highlight these everyday wines. Vineyard: The Cariñena Denominación de Origen is situated 56 km south east of Zaragoza, in Aragón, in the Iberian mountains between the Campo de Cariñena Valley and the Ebro River. The Denominación covers 50.000 hectares and has a long viticulture tradition with a wealthy culture heritage from the mudejar period. Generally the climate is arid in Cariñena, with an annual rainfall of 350 mm. The summers are dry and sunny, while the winters are cold and the area often feels the effects of "the Cierzo" wind, which contributes to the dryness of the climate. The soils are poor, stony and made up of ochre-coloured limestone. The vineyards are found at an altitude between 400 and 800 m. Fermentation & Ageing: La Granja 360 Tempranillo Garnacha is produced in the North of Spain in the traditional tempranillo growing region of Cariñena, it is a great value and easy to enjoy. The grapes come from bush vines and are harvested manually, destemmed and pressed before fermenting in stainless steel tanks at 26ºC during 25 days. Once the maceration (10 days with 3 rackings/day) and the malolactic fermentation have been completed and has undergone final micro filtration, the wine is aged for 2 months in oak barrels and is then bottled under strict hygienic conditions. Winemaker's notes: Dark ruby coloured, it offers up a nose of red cherry accompanied by a whiff of incense. It is sweet, ripe and tasty on the palate. Service suggestions: A great match for barbeque roasted pork chops, spare ribs, sausages, grilled vegetables and cheeses.
