KWIKqts ELECTRONIC TAKEOFF & MEASUREMENT APPLICATION This Service is one of the ‘Software-as-a-Service” Applications within the e-CLOUD Construction Suite of Productivity Services. It is available through the Internet via the e-CLOUD Construction website www.e-cloud.co.za. and the Contracts On-Demand Website www.contractsondemand.co.za Description A powerful and interactive electronic measuring tool designed for Quantity Surveyors and Contractors to dramatically reduce time allocated to taking off quantities. Benefits Substantially reduce time required preparing and calculating area schedules, building cost estimates and B of Q’s Ease of measurement by linking areas, lengths and perimeters Drawing are automatically coloured and marked up Flexibility in manipulation of output quantities as the application uses Microsoft Excel as its engine Easily capture repetitive informatics such as foundations and beams dimensions with the use of built-in forms. Features Adjustment and calibration of drawing scale Import drawings of any type or format, as long as it is capable of being converted into .tif format Overlay later revisions to visually see the extent of design changes Compute structural steel tonnages by using the built in structural steel conversion tables Direct link to KWIKest building cost estimation software Import quantities from autocad Caters for upload of drawings in j.peg or .tif. By using the trace key and choosing the required colour, the user is able to calculate areas and perimeters in a colour coded schedule. The same applies where the perimeter is calculated first, by left clicking on the traced shape the user is able to calculate the area by clicking on the add area button. Length and perimeter calculations are performed using the trace key while the count calculation requires the use of the sum function. A colour coded schedule is produced for each of these three functions. Forms are available calculating quantities for: Ground Beam Strip Footing Ring beam and inverted beam Use the trace key to measure length. Quantities are then organized in a neat colour coded strip footing schedule. Similar forms and schedules exist for piles, pile caps, bases, slabs and columns calculations. When calculating quantities for the structural steelwork, the trace key is used to calculate the length. The user then selects the type of member and the size of the member. Quantities are then organized in a neat colour coded steel schedule. Where the architect or engineer has arranged quantities in blocks, KWIKqts allows you to extract the quantities directly into the respective schedules. Support & Training Contracts on Demand offers support as well as training and workshops on request. System Requirements IBM Compatible Pentium II with CD Rom and EGA or higher resolution monitor. Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, XP, Vista and Windows7 (64-bit is not compatible) Subscription Provided on an annual subscription basis per workstation. Contracts On-Demand Website www.contractsondemand.co.za Description A powerful and interactive electronic measuring tool designed for Quantity Surveyors and Contractors to dramatically reduce time allocated to taking off quantities. Benefits

• Substantially reduce time required preparing and calculating area schedules, building cost estimates and B of Q’s • Ease of measurement by linking areas, lengths and perimeters • Drawing are automatically coloured and marked up • Flexibility in manipulation of output quantities as the application uses Microsoft Excel as its engine • Easily capture repetitive informatics such as foundations and beams dimensions with the use of built-in forms.

Features Adjustment and calibration of drawing scale

• Import drawings of any type or format, as long as it is capable of being converted into .tif format • Overlay later revisions to visually see the extent of design changes • Compute structural steel tonnages by using the built in structural steel conversion tables • Direct link to KWIKest building cost estimation software • Import quantities from autocad

Caters for upload of drawings in j.peg or .tif.

Forms are available calculating quantities for: • Ground Beam • Strip Footing • Ring beam and inverted beam

Use the trace key to measure length.
