Thank You to Our Summer Students

The following students were hired at Kings Way Care Centre thru various government programs and we

just want to say a big “Thank You” for all your hard work.

Abby Powers is the daughter of our own RN, Nancy Powers and lives at home with her parents

and 2 younger sisters, Grace & Olivia.

This is the 2nd year that Abby worked at KWCC throughout the summer. This year she not only did a great job working with our residents but also the children in our summer day camp. Besides her love for the seniors, she has been taking dance for a number of years and enjoys the exercise

and fun.

She is in her 3rd year at UNBSJ, taking the education program and looking forward to being a teacher one

day. All the best in your chosen career - God Bless!

Allison Curwin did a great job as one of our summer students helping out in the Activities Centre

with our residents and the children in our day camp.

Allison is a Rothesay resident, living at home with her parents and sister, Kaitlynn. She also, enjoys

working out, this helped in keeping up with our residents.

She is entering her 1st year of nursing at UNBSJ - beginning a new chapter in her life.

God bless you in your chosen field!

Max Cormier was hired on through a student program for our maintenance department. No matter what Max was doing - mowing lawns, fixing a flush or hanging a picture he always had

a big smile and it was contagious!

Max lives at home in Rothesay with his parents and younger brother, Xavier.

He is now enrolled in the business program at the University of Moncton. Max is a sports addict

and is on the school’s soccer team along with playing many other sports.

All the best Max, and God bless!

Tribute Cards are an attractive and efficient way to send caring messages to family and friends,

and at the same time support our Foundation. A lovely, personalized message printed

on a special card is sent to the recipient, and a tax receipt is issued for your kind

donation, for a minimum donation of $10.00.

Please visit our website or call the Foundation office at 847-1131, ext. 1124 .

Also, a gift set of 8 cards & envelopes are available from the Foundation office for $20.00.

Do you like to have fun, decorate, connect with people and most

importantly LOVE CHOCOLATE??

The Foundation is in the early stages of planning a signature event to

fundraise for Kennebec Manor and Kings Way Care Centre. This will be a

“multi-course chocolate tasting” from various restaurants and bakeries from

the Greater Saint John area.

This event will be on Saturday, October 25th at the Saint John Trade &

Convention Centre. If you would like to participate in the planning of this

“One Of A Kind” event in New Brunswick, please contact Kim at 847-1131.

Welcome to KWCC

We would like to welcome 3 new residents,

Winter Clothing

It’s time to get the winter clothing out!! We would ask families to go through their loved one’s closets to remove summer clothes thus making room for the winter

clothes. Sorting thru the clothes will keep them in better shape and help with over-crowding.

your phone number please update it with the administration office.
