KROSS INSTITUTE FOR CIVIL SERVICE(An Institution under the aegis of Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops' Council)

Empowering Value Based Leaders for Nation Building

KROSS Institute for Civil Service was founded in 2004. It is an institution under the aegis of Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops' Council (KRCBC) to fulfil the long cherished dream of the Bishops of Karnataka to start an institute to advance the career prospects of youth, who have the potential to join high ranking position in Public and Private sectors but cannot afford due to lack of means.

There are many young who are bright, talented and have the tenacity to compete in various competitive exams and interviews but are handicapped to get access to quality coaching and up-to-date study materials. Some candidates opt out of the race due to lack of proper motivation or because of the mistaken notion that for a person with non-urban background, getting into higher positions in public and private sectors placement is an impossible dream.

KROSS expects to bring Career Advancement Programme & coaching for competitive exams within easy reach of the candidates and hopes to fulfil this mission by providing top quality training at the lowest possible cost.

Career Advancement to the top positions in Public and Private sectors is very challenging. It is more about accountability and contributing to the society. The prestige and honour associated with the top management position in a company, or an industry or bureaucratic positions like IAS, IPS, IFS may be a vestige since the British days. With nearly 25 other allied services in the bureaucracy, -which constitutes the steel frame of governance in India, responsible for enforcing law and order, implementing policy decisions, conceiving projects, instrumental in all the revenue administration of the State etc. And as one moves higher up the bureaucratic ladder, one may be heading any one of the myriad government departments ranging from tourism to education, higher education to urban infrastructure, agriculture to public works, housing and so on or a CEO of a corporate company .

Career Advancement involves diversity of skills, leadership abilities and ability to manage challenging tasks and the job along with social pride and prestige derives satisfaction within an individual by serving the society.
