/ May this year.

At the national level BJP is gaining momentum. There are

articles written by Mr. VSN Murthy and M.K. Viswanath on

the outcome of the elections.

Other point to be mentioned is the disappearance of

Malaysian Flight MH 370. Mr. Navin Chitlagnia is writing

an article on this.

Meantime, there have been several complaints of postal

department not able to deliver the magazine to our

esteemed readers and contributors, which is quite

disappointing.

The scope of dispatching the magazine by registered post

The following analysis is only for professional study. This is not intended to blame, hurt, and disappoint any individual nor group nor party. This analysis is only meant for how Krishnamurthy Paddhathi Astrology analyzes fate, performance of Mundane related aspect in the Society.

A friend of mine came to my office on 07-03-2014 and questioned me “Will Sri. Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister of India after the 16th Lok Sabha Elections?” I asked him to tell a number with in 249. At once he said 94. Immediately, a horary chart is erected.

Horary Number = 94/249. Date of Judgment = 07-03-2014, Friday. Time of Judgment = 02-51-31. PM. Place of Judgment =Kurnool (A.P).

Analysis:-

Sun is the owner and the sub lord of the Ascendant. The Ascendant Leo is aspected by the lord of that sign, Sun. Jupiter is also aspecting the lagna lord Sun with his special aspect (9th aspect). This is a good positive indication in general.



Consider the sub lords of 1st, 6th and 11th houses for the favoured person (Modi) and their opposite houses (i.e) 7th, 12th, and 5th for the opponent person. Sub lords of 1, 6 and 11 must be strong significators of houses 1, 2, 3, 6, 10 and 11 to predict win/success for the required person in question. Similarly the sub lords of 7th, 12th and 5th must be strong significators of houses 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 12 in favour of the opponent. Let us examine the significator table (on behalf of Modi) as shown below:-

From the above table, it can be seen that houses 1,2,3,6,10 and 11 appear eight times in favour of Modi.

From the above given table, it can be seen that the houses 4,5,7,8,9 and 12 appear seven times in favour of Opposite person. So it is concluded that Mr. Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of India after the 16th Lok Sabha Elections surely. If the lord of the 6th house is connected with the 11th house, or the 11th house is connected with the lord of the 6th house, success in elections/litigations/competitions is realized. In this horary chart, (a) Saturn is the owner as well as the sub lord of the 6th house. Saturn is in the star of Jupiter who is in 11.



Thus he is the “A” grade significators for 11. (b) Mercury, the 11th lord is the occupant of 6th. The 6th cusp sub lord Saturn is in the sign of the 11th cusp sub lord’s sign (in Venus sign Libra) and the 11th cusp sub lord Venus is in the sign of the 6th cusp sub lord’s sign (in Makaram). Mutual exchange of Saturn (6th sub lord) and Venus (11th sub lord) is seen clearly. So we can predict the winning of Mr. Narendra Modi.

PREDICTIVE ASTROLOGY –

GENERAL HINTS - FOR BEGINNERS

(First Published in Souvenir released on the occasion of Aseethi Celebrations of Shri P.V.K.Punneswar Rao Atrologer in October 2004 at Hyderabad- This List of hints cannot be concluded - anytime anybody's experience can improve the list. Hence reader is requested to improve for better use and circulate.)

1. Interpretation of horoscope is a matter of decoding divine qualities of zodiac and of planets.

2. Objective analysis is to be made with proper wording to prevent possible errors and ill effects thereto on native’s psychology.

3. All efforts should be taken to see that this science of Astrology do not create wrong fears or undue confidence.

4. The duty of Astrologer is to follow a code of discipline to ensure that this divine science is useful to all.

5. Accurate and useful prediction is, in a sense, a gut feeling of a good practitioner with a divine blessing.

6. Initiate the study of any chart with respects to Guru, Ishta daivam and Science of Astrology and with a sense of utility to native.

7. No planet is isolated. All planets work in a concerted manner. At any given time native gets a package deal of all planets with a leadership of one or more planets depending on their strength in dasa system and / or in transit.



8. Base is only 27 stars, 9 planets and 12 rasis, 12 bhavas - with innumerable number of permutations and combinations anything can be proved / disproved in astrology. Predictive skills should be refined every time, to guard, against such complexities.

9. Basics like graha tatwa, bhava tatwa and rasi tatwa to be analyzed everytime . Graha tatwa to be studied in relation to bhava tatwa without ignoring the background rasi tatwa

10. Longevity, Lagna and 11th bhava strength are to be invariably considered while reading any bhava.

11. The duty of Astrologer is to follow a code of discipline to ensure that this divine science 12. Always elicit and use properly the environmental data like - age, aptitude, medical reports, inheritances, social conditions etc., 13. Do not get hurried OR hesitant to conclude prediction. 14. Express negative OR positive predictions in a useful way. 15. Do not mix different systems of astrology. 16. Do not get biased by any attachment to the native / perturbed

by events under study-

Following are some of the instances where one is likely to get into an unknown bias. i. study of chart of a relative / friend , ii. study of a chart dealt with earlier , iii. review of an earlier prediction , iv. critical family affairs, financial crisis, medical condition, etc.,

17. Mathematical calculations should be meticulous but not to the extent of eroding predictive skills. Calculations are for quantitative analysis while predictive part is a qualitative assessment. Both are important and are to be used in a judicious way. 18. Disciplined way of life and detailed study of the system and careful observation of chart definitely lead to valuable readings.

19. Intuition of astrologer plays a vital role in predictions. Intuition is described, in a way, as a sixth sense. Using all known five



senses in a disciplined way is a definite base for best intuition. This is first step to reach higher levels and should be practiced by everyone.

20. Common sense is the essential element in predictive part of astrology.

21. Astrology subject do have some limitations - like any other science - One should use this science within the limitations to draw the best results.

22. Clarify to everyone what can be known / what is to be known / how to know anything from the science of astrology - it is a divine subject - everything / anything / at any time / by anybody cannot be known without divine blessing.

23. Revelations of ‘Karma theory” cannot be ignored in the study of astrology.

Karma theory reveal the prevailing mix of prarabdha, sanchita, agami with the aid of Sun (atmakaraka), Moon (manokaraka) and other five planets (representing human body i., flesh, blood, bones etc, Just as human body is subjected to the influence of biological inheritance, environmental effects etc., the soul is subjected to the prarabdha karma. Combined action of soul and body is the result of human actions. These actions are qualified by satwa,rajo,and thamo gunas of mind. In short, the input of human actions are qualified by satwa, rajo, thamo gunas while the output get classified into dharma, ardha, kama, moksha. The output can again be, broadly, classified into spiritual (dharma, moksha) and materialistic (ardha,kama). In Predictions –bhava results do fall into spiritual/material aspect of life. In the light of this the role of Karma theory cannot be ignored in predictive astrology and is to be necessarily included.

24. Everyone is deviating from his natal chart right from the moment of his birth. Because of this deviation (1) those born at the same time with same lagna and planetary configuration differ in their performance; and (2) the native’s behavior is not as indicated in the astrological books. While the natal chart is



showing a direction for native’s behavior the inner soul coins native’s decisions and destiny every time. Inner soul has its own program to accept / deny - partly or fully - the directions of the natal chart. The indications from natal chart is like a common syllabus taught in a class room. The actual performance in grasping and reusing the lessons taught commonly depend much on the individual merits / demerits of each student. Decoding of natal chart is the commencing point. Purpose of astrological study is to verify how far and how deep the native is deviating from the birth chart. Significance of astrology is to be seen in the light of highest level of human attainment. Astrology teaches in great detail about the controls upon us. The real value of astrology is gained when the astrologer and the client are convinced of he need for spiritual progress in their lives.. Case study (1) Longevity determination is an extremely difficult task. As a matter of principle, I seldom resort to longevity predictions since chance to err is too high. Nevertheless, sometimes longevity assessment becomes necessary especially when the kith and kin of the patient express strong desire to know about longevity. This is a case, where success was literally 100%. Case History The man was a widower and his children are working abroad. He was staying alone and but for diabetes he was relatively healthy. On 19 Feb 2014, he was found in an unconscious state and was taken to the hospital by the neighbors. A brain scan ruled out any damage to brain but he remained in an unconscious state and was put under observation in the ICU.



A time chart was cast as desired by one of his relative.

Horary chart mirrors the query ! Query is primarily concerned with the longevity a derivative of the eighth house In the time chart, Saturn as eighth lord, aspects the Rising sign and thus the query gets reflected in the prasna chart . So the query was analyzed further Strength of the Ascendant and its lord! The Rising sign falls in Cancer ruled by Moon The Rising degree falls in the asterism of pusya ruled by Saturn the planet that stands for difficulty and trouble Ascendant is afflicted by Saturn a malefic planet for Cancer Ascendant as well as by retrograde Mercury, a functional malefic. Moon, the ascendant lord that stands for the physical body is in the third house and is very weak since it occupies the ninth navamsa of the sign. The ninth navamsa of any sign is referred to as “charama amsa“ that means dead amsa. Moon is bereft of



benefic aspects but afflicted by Uranus the modern co-ruler of Aquarius the eighth house of death of the horary chart. In short, Ascendant and its lord is weak to protect the native . Strength of the eighth lord ! The eighth house falls in Aquarius ruled by Saturn that is also ayush karaka or causative planet of longevity. Eighth lord Saturn, despite being in an angle and exalted, is still weak due to two reasons ----Saturn is in Rasi Sandhi (past 29 degree of the sign ) ---Venus, that deposes for Saturn moves to sixth house , an unfriendly place or dusthana So the eighth lord of longevity is weak. To sum up, Ascendant, Ascendant lord and eighth lord are rendered weak so as to protect the longevity of the man . Planets in Retro mode and in Dusthanas Sun (Heart, fever etc) is weak by being in eighth house a dusthana Mercury, the ruler of the third house of breathing is in retro mode indicating breathing complaints. Jupiter as sixth lord of disease aspects Libra (Kidney) ,Venus (Kidney) and eighth house (urination ) . All these indicate trouble to kidney. Jupiter stands for liver Its retrograde mode in its inimical sign Gemini indicates something is wrong with liver ..



Actually on a later date he was diagnosed of jaundice (liver) and in the final stages kidneys too stopped functioning . Surgery Mark the point that Moon the Ascendant lord (physical body) is in chithra nakshatra ruled by Mars the planet of surgery . When Moon the Ascendant lord Transit Sagittarius the sixth house of disease of the horary chart, it will be afflicted by two functional malefic planets viz. Jupiter the ruler of sixth house of disease and Saturn the ruler of eighth house of surgery. So, the next Transit of Moon in Sagittarius may result in a surgery. Timing From the ephemeris, it was noted that the Transit Venus, the badhak (the obstructive planet !) will be in Uttarasada nakshatra ruled by Sun , the lord of second house ---maraka (licensed to kill) from 21 Feb to 10 Mar 2014 and will start afflicting the Ascendant from 27 Feb 2014 . So death may strike in this period On 2 Mar 2014 , Tr Sat the ruler of eighth house of longevity will turn retrograde and this will prove decisive To fine tune, Transit of Moon was given importance Query Moon Sign Lord Star lord Sub lord Mercury Mars Jupiter Transit of luminaries in the Angles from the query Ascendant derived by KP Number or Query Moon or Rising degree in the east is often found to give the expected result The Mer/ Mars/ Jup combo in an angle , you will never get from the sign Cancer that was rising in the east .



From Moon sign , such a combo could be found in Pisces and Gemini . Moon Transit is in Pisces in Jup / Mer / Mars in the wee hours of 4th Mar 2014. Based on all these it was concluded that death may strike when Transit Moon passes through Pisces in Jup / Mer / Mars Without mentioning the word “death” it was requested to give feedback whether anything unusual happens in the early morning hours of 4th Mar 2014 Actual outcome!

The man was put on ventilator on the same day , the chart was taken for study, in the midnight following an attack of fits . He underwent a surgery for hernia despite being in ventilator when Transit Moon moved in Moolam nakshatra in the Sign Sagittarius exactly as predicted.



In the early morning hours of 4th Mar 2014, to my utter astonishment he was declared dead by the hosptal . Importantly , when the chart was cast for the time the news of death reached the scribe, Transit Moon was in Jup/Mer/Mars Case study (2) Snake bite Querist on the morning of 4 Mar 2014 opened a room that was remaining shut since several years. The room was full of bamboo pieces, dust, leaves and other waste. He felt something crawling through his feet. He suddenly started to perspire heavily and began shivering and was suspected of some reptile bite. While being rushed to the hospital, on the way, a question was posed about the bite . It was neither possible to calculate the Ascendant or elicit a KP number at that time.. However, the scribe was aware of the planetary position of the day

Analysis Moon and blood Little known to many Astrologers is though Mars is referred to as “Rudhira karaka” or causative planet of blood , the fluid planet Moon too signify blood especially when in watery signs (Cancer, Scorpio, 2nd half of Capricorn, Pisces) Similarly, though Sun is referred to as “Tanu karaka “ or causative planet of body Moon too signify body especially in horary At the query time, Moon was in Pisces ruled by a natural benefic Jupiter and in star Revati ruled by another natural benefic Mercury. Neither Moon nor Mercury the star lord of Moon is having any connection with Rahu (Poison) or serpent Drekkana’s Querist was told not to worry and was assured that it is NOT a reptile bite. Role of 7th Cusp – The seventh cusp is the house of union and represents legal bondage. Although, marriage is principally the concern of seventh cusp, simultaneously necessary to consider 2nd and 11th cusp. The plane's transponder, which communicates with ground radar, was shut down soon after this final communication, as the aircraft crossed from Malaysian air traffic control into Vietnamese airspace over the South China Sea.

KAAL SARP YOGA-A DREADED

COMBINATION IN A HOROSCOPE

In the recent times, Kal Sarpa Yoga has become the most common point of discussion in the country. It is said that this is most ominous combination, all the beneficial roles of planets are destroyed & the native having Kal Sarpa yoga in his chart is said to be suffering through all kind of hardships throughout his life, while his hardship doesn’t yield any good result. Now let’s see what is the combination of this Kal Sarpa yoga?

Kaal sarp yog is formed when in a horoscope, all the seven planets comes between or hemmed between Rahu and Ketu axis. This is one among the much feared yogas in Astrology. ‘Kaal’ means death and the word Sarp’ means snake, It is believed that a person born under KAAL SARP YOG has to go through various death-like agonies in life. Rahu is considered serpent’s head and Ketu is dragon’s tail. So the presence of kaal sarp yoga in a horoscope is considered particularly harmful as all the planets are surrounded by the serpent and thus loose their good impacts to a great extent which will make person less lucky, creates problems and delays in many important aspects of life.

When all the seven planets are on the same side of Rahu and Ketu axis and not a single planet is on the other side, the full kaal-sarp dosha is formed. If even a single planet is on the other side of this axis, then it is not a kaal sarp yog. In this case, partial kaal sarp yoga is formed which is a kaal sarpa yog of less intensity.



Though partial kaal sarpa yog does not come under the definition of KAAL SARPA YOG but some of them say that people born with “Ardha or Bhanga Kal Sarpa Yoga (Partial Kal Sarpa Yoga) lead more disastrous life than people having Total Kal Sarpa Yoga.

General Impacts of Kaal Sarp Dosha:

In 12 houses of the horoscope there are Kaal Sarp Yogas of 12 types. These are: I) Anant Kalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in Ascendant (Lagna) or 1 st house and ketu is placed in seventh house. This yoga have ill imacts on the personality of the person. It makes him a short-tempered and treacherous person. He will not have much inclination towards cleanliness and will have bad habits. He will be devoid of good health and respect in the society.

It will have adverse impacts on the marriage and person will not have much satisfaction in marital relation. He will not have support from his partners in business and colleagues in profession.

II) Kulik Kaalsarp Dosha : This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in Second house or house of money or dhan bhava and ketu is placed in eighth house. This yoga will give ill impacts in earning and saving the money. He will have bad communication skills and will have no control on his tongue and in the process will hurt many persons and make them his enemies. He will be prone to accidents and surgery. He can have unnatural death from poison, accident, snake-bite or suicide.



III) Vasuki Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in third house or house of courage, younger siblings and effort and ketu is placed in ninth house or house of luck and dharma. This yoga will make the person timid and person will not have much courage and valor. He will have bad relations with younger siblings and they will not support him even in the hour of need. He will have lesser influential friend who will be cheats.

The person will have less support of luck. He will face hurdles and breaks in many important events of his life. He will be a follower of religion of foreigners and will leave or will have less interest his own dharma.

IV) Shankpal Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in fourth house or house of sukh or happiness or sukh bhava and ketu is placed in 10 th house or karm bhava or house of profession. This yoga will give ill impacts in the relation with mother and person will be separated from his mother. He will have lesser mental peace and will be prone to anger. His driving skills will not be good .He will be having vastu dosha in his house.He will be prone to diseases related to heart, chest and lungs.

He will be having problems with the higher authorities in the workplace and will not be popular in his office or workplace. He will be suffered many conspiracies from his colleagues and in spite of doing hard work will not be able to achieve higher position in his profession. He will be unpopular in the society.

V) Padam Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in fifth house or house of education and children and ketu is placed in 11 th house or aaya bhava or house of income. This yoga will give breaks and hurdles in case of getting education. The person will be weak in studies and will have less intellectual power as well. He will not have much interest in arts. His analytical skills will be less and will have no luck in share market, gambling or sudden gain of money through speculations or betting. He will have problems in love relations.



The person will have problems in child birth and if the person is female, she will have many problems in child birth. Child birth will happen after a long time after marriage. His children will not respect him and leave him.

VI) MahaPadam Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in sixth house or house of enemies and diseases and ketu is placed in 12 th house. This yoga will give problems from the side of enemies and person will have many powerful enemies. The enemies of this person will not confront him openly and work against him secretly and will give him much damage. He will be prone to diseases and will not live a healthy life.

The person will have much expenditure in wasteful things and will have very less savings. He will be unpopular with his in-laws. In case of female, she will always get bad behavior from her in-laws. He could be imprisoned also and will have punishment in the hand of government.

VII) Takshak Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in seventh house or house of marriage and ketu is placed in first house or lagna. This yoga will give problems from the wife and person will not have support from wife. There will be excessive delay in the marriage and the wife of person will be of bad nature and there will be lesser harmony in the family. If the lord of house of marriage is also in the fall then marital life will not last long and wife of the person will give him divorce.

The person will be suffered from headache and high BP. He will be cruel and devoid of good qualities.

VIII) Karkotak Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in eighth house and ketu is placed in second house or . This yoga will severe problems in case of health. The person will be prone to accidents and surgery. The person will be suffered from his enemies and the enemies will try to damage him with the use of black magic.

The person will suffer in case of savings and will have lesser savings in spite of his high end earnings. He will have defect in his



eyes. He will not have much support from his relatives. He will have problems in getting the gains through inheritance.

IX) Shankchood Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in ninth house and ketu is placed in third house. The person suffering from this yoga will lose his money in gambling. He will be devoid of interest in ritual and good deeds. He will be a miser. He will not give any donations and he will be unlucky.

He will have bad family relations and will have lesser harmony in his home. The person will have many ups and downs in the life and luck will be not favoring him.

X) Ghatak Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is in tenth house and ketu is placed in fourth house. The person suffering from this yoga will have no permanent thoughts. He will be confused and will not be a good decision taker and lacks the decision making capability and good leadership skills.

He will have less mental peace and will not have pleasure of good vehicles. His servant will be thieves. He will be prone to depression. Punishment by law is also possible.

XI) Vishdhar Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is eleventh house and ketu is placed in fifth house. The person travels frequently and is never fixed at place. The person will have many problems in earning money and will have lesser power of brain.

His elder sibling will always treat him as enemy and will try to damage him. Problems also arise from children. However these natives get peace in the latter half of their life.

XII) Sheshnag Kaalsarp Yoga: This type of kaal sarp dosha is formed when rahu is twelfth house and ketu is placed in sixth house. The person will have habits of taking loans and spending more than his income. He will suffer from excessive expenditure and debts. He will be an unpopular person and his inlaws will always conspire against him.



He will not have sound health and from time to time, he will suffer from diseases. His enemies will give him damage. His elder sibling will always treat him as enemy and will try to damage him. Problems also arise from children. However these natives get peace in the latter half of their life.

Having kal sarp yoga in horoscope doesn’t mean that person will be totally unlucky and devoid of all the good things of life. The overall results differs from person to person and it depends on other yogas in the particular horoscope. For example, if a person is having strong Raj-yogas present or having four planets Dig-Bali or having two to three escalated or Swagrehi planets in horoscope along with kaal sarp dosha, then the results of kaal sarp yoga will be minimized in this case by the strong good planets or yoga.

If a native do not get the dasa of Rahu or Ketu throughout his span of life then he will not be violently effected by the kaal sarpa yoga. In any of the horoscope is the Sun and Mon are sound to be strong then kaal sarp yoga cannot do any harm to the native.

Searching the classics for the existence of Kal Sarpa Yoga:

Whenever a problem arises, we consult the classics of astrology, but in this case the problem is that we don’t find anything regarding Kal Sarpa Yoga in Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra, Jaiminisutram, Brihat Jatakam, Uttar Kalamrita, Phaladeepika, Jatak Parijat, Sarbartha Chintamani, Bhabartharatnakar, Jatakabharanam, Sanketnidhi, Bhabakutuhalam, Manasagari Paddhati, even the modern Astro books like, Jataktatwa etc. don’t speak anything about this Kal Sarpa Yoga.

Pandit Shree P.S. Sastri discussed about Kal Sarpa Yoga in the Astrological magazine published from Bangalore in the volume of December 1965, October 1987 & September 1994. While discussing about Kal Sarpa Yoga , Mr. Sastri quoted a sloka, but didn’t mention about its root. However he admitted that classics don’t talk Kal Sarpa Yoga. The sloka he quoted is :-



“AGRE RAHU ANTE KETU SARBE MADHYA-GATA GRAHA YOGAM KALASARPA-KHYAM NRIPA SASYA BINASANAM”

the meaning is quite clear. If Rahu is at front & Ketu is at last while all other planets are in between, then this combination is called Kal Sarpa Yoga & results into death of king or destruction of grains. It is clear that the above mentioned sloka has nothing to do with personal astrology (Jatak Jyotish) and is related to mundane astrology (Rashtriya Jyotish).

In that same magazine, another writer supported this combination by refering it to classics like Brihat Jatakam by Varahamihira and he wrote about Sarpa Yoga, the condition of which is Sun, Mars and Saturn in kendras while the rest of the planets in houses other than kendras, and this combination is mentioned in the chapter of Nabhas Yoga of Brihat Jatakam, Saravali by KalyanVarma, and in the texts of Badarayan, Manish and Garga etc.

We can deduce that Kal Sarpa Yoga has no reference in classical texts, nor supported by any astrological texts, because Maharshi Parasar, Jaimini, Varahamihira, Ramanujacharya, Kalidas, Baidyanath Dixit, Benkateswar Daivajna, Mantreswar, or famous astrologers didn’t accept this yoga.

We know that a planet’s role (both as a benefic & a melefic) depends upon its natural, according to lordships, according to its position, according to combinations formed. As for Rahu & Ketu, they can’t give results according to lorshipd, but they have a major role to play according to their placements. If Rahu & Ketu is posited in a benefic’s house or related to any benefic, then definitely it will give good results, which has been seen in many of the charts.

Now let us discuss on Rahu & Ketu according to various classical literatures. In Laghu Parasari, in 2nd Chapter, 8th sloka, it is clearly said that if Rahu or Ketu are posited in Kendras or Trikonas and if they are related to lords of Kendras or Trikonas, then they become Rajyogakaraks.



As you know, malefics if occupy Upachayas (3,6,10,11 houses from Lagna) then they give good results. So if Rahu & Ketu occupies the above said houses, no doubt they will give good results.

In Manasagari Paddhati, a very similar sloka is very appropriate in the current context of discussion. In that very text, presence of Rahu in Brishabh, Kark, Simha & in Kanya have been eulogised and it is said that Rahu acts as a Rajyoga karaka. The results have been seen in many natives life, where Rahu is posted in any of the above signs of zodiac.

As you all know that Sarbarth Chintamani is a good reference while analysing dasa results. In the same text the dasa results of Rahu has been said to be good, provided it is posted in Mesh, Brishabh, Karkata, Kanya, Dhanu or in Meen (chapter 16, sloka 21 & 22).

According to Phaladeepika dasa of Rahu is good when it is posted in signs like Kanya, Brischik or Meen (chapter 19, sloka 16).

Moreover according to Maharshi Parasara, one should predict about ones wealth from the position of Rahu (chapter 14 sloka 19). It is expected from a learner of Jyotish to know that a well-placed Rahu in his dasa gives wealth.

While speaking about the dasa results of Rahu when it is well placed, he says- all are beneficial for the native, be it regarding to Kingdom, be getting son, money, wealth, vehicles, construction of new home, patronised by the king etc. (chapter 36 sloka 42,46-49).

Both Parasara & Jaimini are of the opinion that when Ketu is auspiciously placed it might result into Moksha.

All these above said conditions are stated to prove that Rahu & Ketu are not always inauspicious & not at all inauspicious to minimise all the good effects of planets posted between them. So, Kal Sarpa Yoga is not established by the astrological writings & none of the classics mention about it.



But we are surprised to find horoscopes of many famous personalities who had Kal Sarpa Yoga according to the present astrologers, still they had no problem in achieving success.

Some example of Purna Kal Sarpa yoga:-

1) Shree Shree Mahaprabhu Chaitanyadev- Simha Lagna, Moon & Ketu in Lagna, Sun, Mercury, Venus & Rahu in 7th, rest of the planets between Rahu & Ketu. 2) Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru- Karkata lagna, Rahu in 12th, Jupiter with Ketu in 6th, rest of the planets between Rahu & Ketu. 3) Scientist Dr. K.S. Krishnan- Mesh Lagna, Mercury & Rahu in 9th, Ketu in 3rd, rest of the planets between rahu & Ketu. 4) Anukul Thakur (preacher in Bengal)- Kanya Lagna, Rahu & Saturn in 11th, Ketu in 5th, rest of the planets between rahu & Ketu. There are plenty of examples but I don’t want it to be unnecessarily large, so have refrained from giving more examples of Purna Kal Sarpa Yoga.

Now, some examples of Ardha Kal Sarpa yoga or Bhanga Kal Sarpa Yoga: -

1)“Father of the Nation” Mahatma Gandhi- Except Jupiter, all planets are between Rahu & Ketu. 2) Author of the book “Bande Mataram” Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay- Except Saturn, all planets are between Rahu & Ketu. 3) Adi Shankaracharya- Except Saturn, all are between Rahu & Ketu. 4) Swami Ramanujacharya- Except Jupiter, all planets are between Rahu & Ketu.



5) Singer Hemanta Mukhopadhayay (better known as Hemant Kumar)- Except Mars, all planets are between Rahu & Ketu.

Thus we can deduce that Kal Sarpa Yoga is nothing but a “CULTIVATED” yoga, only to scare people who come to seek astrological advice. As the examples given above it is true that whatever incomplete they felt in their life, was due to planetary position, not due to the so called “Kal Sarpa Yoga”. I have a number of horoscopes where there is presence of Kal Sarpa Yoga, but those persons have felt the height of success in their life, but inclusion of those examples will unnecessarily make this work pretty large. I have tried my best to support my article with relevant sources. Please forgive the shortcomings, if any.

FOR RULING PARTY

A) For the ruling party take the lagna, which falls in Aries. Sun is in 12th house, which indicates hidden enemies in Government itself. Sun denotes 03, 06, 05 and 12. 06th cusp is good, but not others. 03rd house denotes lower level. 12th cusp stands for loss. 05th is for gain of opposite party (07). These points indicate Sun is not faourable for ruling party.

B) 10th lord is Saturn. It is linked to Nodes. Saturn denotes Jupiter. Jupiter signifies 03, 09 and 12. So Saturn offers result of 03, 07, 09, 10, 11 and 12. Out of these houses, 03 and 12 are not good.

C) But Saturn, lord of 10 and 11, is in retrograde mode and thus it indicates the result go out of control.

D) Moon is in the star of Mercury indicate duality or conglomerate of various political parties.



FOR OPPOSITION

A) For opposition, let us take 07th house. It falls in Libra. 10th

house falls in Cancer. Moon, its lord, is in Cancer and it is in the star of Mercury. Mercury is in 06th house and it is in the star of Saturn. Saturn denotes 01, 04, 05 and Jupiter. Saturn is in retro mode. But star lord of Moon, viz. Mercury is strong in 06th house.

When seen from 07th house (Libra), the half-way mark is at 14 deg. 12 min. in Aries. The star lord of Moon is Mercury, which is at 10 deg. 10 min in Pisces. Hence there is shortage of 34 deg. 02 min.

Total no. of seats == 543 Zodiac is of == 360 360 divided by 543 == 0.666667 Distance of shortage == 34 deg. (from Mercury) No. of seats short == 0.666667*34==22.66667 Say == 23 no. of seats. Half-way mark == 543 / 2 == 271.5 seats Say == 272 seats NDA shall get == 272 minus 23 = 249

So BJP and their allies put together may get around 249 to 250 seats in the Parliamentary Elections held in 2014 April / May, which indicates that NDA is falling short of majority. Saturn is aspecting Moon. Saturn is conjunct with Rahu.
