2013 event Leading Mottos | 1st Korean KicK The World’s Martial arts Festival
On behalf of the orga-nizing committees of the events in Korea, it is our great plea-
sure to invite you to the home-land of Taekwon-Do,
Korea to celebrate “The Open Taekwon-Do
World Championship & the 1st Korean Kick
– The World’s Martial Arts Festival” that will
take place between 30th of July and 5th of
August 2013 in Seoul, South Korea. These
events are open to any Taekwon-Do and
Martial Arts practitioners as well as to sup-
porters, family members and guests who
would like to enjoy Korean hospitality and
experience Korean culture and life.
The aim of the 2013 events is to gather
together Martial Arts exponents, individu-
als, parents, family members, enthusiasts,
organizations, groups or associations from
around the world that practice or support
any form of Taekwondo, and celebrate in
a festive atmosphere this beautiful art in
the country of its birth. The Korean Kick
Festival and The Open World Taekwon-Do
Championships will contribute to building
a more peaceful world by educating youth
through Taekwon-Do without discrimi-
nation of any kind (religion, nationality,
political views, gender, age or culture), and
under the Taekwon-Do tenets of cour-
tesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control,
indomitable spirit that provide a platform
for mutual understanding of the differences
in the spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair
competition.

Dear TaekwOn-DO anD marTial
arTs brOThers,
It is my great honor to welcome you to Ko-
rea, the homeland of Taekwon-Do, and to
provide a meeting place for the world’s fin-
est Martial Artists and friends. ITF HQ Korea
strives not only to unite Taekwon-Do in the
future under the banner “One Taekwon-Do
in its homeland” but also to unite Martial
Arts through the slogan “One Martial Arts
World”. This aim has been fostered through
our many contacts and discussions with
world Martial Arts organizations and groups
that feel in our rapidly changing world, in
order to deal with these changes, Martial
Arts need to set a new paradigm based
on an interchange of technical knowledge
and the development of a modern global
administrative structure that removes the
customary vested interests of some exist-
ing organizations.
With an understanding that regardless
of the style of martial art most have this
similar ideal and can together take a leading
role and develop or combine techniques to
advance in parallel with each other in this
evolving world. By combining our efforts
it is possible to create a global comrade-
ship regardless of any political, ideological
or economic barriers and become a one
Martial Arts family and community.
Let’s raise the curtain in Korea, the country
of Martial Arts. Korea is everyone’s , lets
unite altogether and create one system,
build community networks and contrib-
ute and share our Martial Arts World for
everyone.
Welcoming MESSAGEBuilding a more peaceful world by educating youth through Martial arts
