Redefining Water Treatment
These systems from Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) are standard
designs that use reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) tech-
nology for optimum water treatment within a compact, skid-mounted
package. At the core of each system is the latest innovation from
KMS, the world’s largest spiral wound element. The MegaMagnum®
element has an unprecedented 18-inch diameter and 61-inch length.
Because of this unique design, MegaMagnum systems significantly
reduce the cost of producing high quality water through:
• Pre-engineered packaged systems for fast installation and start up
• Reduced system footprint to minimize building costs
• Fewer connections and seals for greater reliability
Driving the Process:Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration
RO and NF are pressure-driven technologies for purifying
water using membranes. Typical feed pressures range from
100 to 300 psi (7 to 21 bar). RO membranes remove almost
all particles including salts and organic molecules. NF
membranes selectively remove particles and are often used
to remove hardness, sulfate, and organics. In both technologies
pressurized water is forced through the membranes, providing
high quality water as product, and leaving salts and organics
behind in a concentrate stream.

The KMS Difference:
KMS ASSIST® Service and Maintenance
When you buy a MegaMagnum system from KMS, you get much
more than water treatment equipment. Behind every KMS design is
a company that has more than 30 years of experience in membranes
and membrane system manufacturing. KMS has a dedicated team
of process engineers and service professionals to provide technical
assistance during installation and startup.
For on-going technical support long after installation is complete,
the KMS ASSIST® Service and Maintenance Program provides various
levels of assistance. Depending upon your requirements, you can opt
for the total package, or customize your plan and choose only individual
elements as needed. To make it easier for you to enhance membrane
performance and prolong membrane life KMS also offers RO and
NF antiscalants and membrane cleaners that comply with NSF/ANSI
Standard 60.
Whatever your application KMS can provide all the products, parts,
servicing and maintenance expertise you’ll ever need for outstanding
water treatment now and into the future.
