KNSS, BANASHANKARI KARAYOGAM

Minutes of the 185th monthly meeting of the Karnataka NairService Society, Banashankari Karayogam, held on 09-05-2010 at 10.30 am, at the office premises of the Karayogam,

Vyoma, No 667, II Floor, 5th Main, ISRO Layout, Bengaluru-78:

The meeting commenced under the president-ship of Sri NSivasankaran, one of the Board Directors of the Karayogam with asilent prayer followed by Aacharya Smarana by the members. SriSivasankaran welcomed the members to the meeting.

The following is the list of members who sought leave of absence

and who remained absent from the days meeting without leave:

The proceedings of the previous meeting, which was read overby Sri P Jayakumar, Joint Secretary, and the accounts submitted by SriV M Somasekharan, Treasurer, were unanimously approved by thecommittee.

Action taken report:

Sri P Jayakumar, Joint Secretary, informed that notices, alongwith copies of audit report and audited accounts, in respect of conductof AGM and elections have already been sent to all the life membersthrough post.

Agenda:

Sri P I Sanathanan, Board Director, apprised the details of thedeliberations in the board meeting held during the month of April2010.

As none of the office bearers of Mahila Vibhag attended themeeting, no discussion was held on the subject.

In so far as collection of annual subscription from the life

members is concerned, it was resolved to discuss the matter at theAGM, slated to be held on 30-5-2010. However, Sri P Jayakumar, JtSecretary, informed that individual letters requesting the members topay the amount have been sent along with the AGM notice.

With regard to AGM and elections to the new committee ofmanagement, the matter was discussed again and it was resolved toconduct the AGM and elections as scheduled earlier on 30-5-2010. Themeeting also reviewed the arrangements made for the conduct of AGMand elections.

Any other subjects:

Sri P Jayakumar, Joint Secretary apprised the progress in sendingof birthday greetings to life members.

Sri P I Sanathanan and Sri N Sivasankaran, board directors, haveraised a point for discussion regarding purchase of a property by theKarayogam. They put forth two proposals: 1) to purchase a site at theNair Gram near Hoskote, wherein Confident Group have formed alayout exclusively for KNSS as an asset and later to utilize the same foracquiring a building for the Karayogam; 2) to purchase a plot near city

college, off Vasanthpura, which is very near to ISRO layout and will besuitable for housing the Karayogam office. They further stated that ifall the life members come forward with a donation ranging from Rs1,000/- to 10,000/-, such a dream could be materialized. The matterwas discussed briefly. It was resolved to leave the matter to the AGMfor discussion and to take a suitable decision on it. However, all themembers present accepted the proposal in principle.

Sriyuths K M G Warrier, a life member, and P I Sanathanan, boarddirector, have donated Rs 500/- and Rs 101/- respectively as birthdaydonation.

As there were no other subjects in the Agenda, the meetingcame to a close with Sri P Jayakumar, Joint Secretary, proposing vote ofthanks.

MATTER TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE KNSS NEWSBULLETIN IN THE ISSUE OF JULY, 2010:

Banashankari Karayogam:

The monthly meeting of the executive committee for the month of May 2010

was held on 9-5-2010 at the Karayogam office. The meeting resolved to conduct the

AGM and elections, as decided earlier, on 30th May 2010.

Fourteenth Annual General Body Meeting of the Karayogam was held on 30th

May 2010. Sri E K Rajakrishnan, President of the Karayogam, presided over the

function and welcomed the members. Sri P Jayakumar, Joint Secretary, read the

minutes of the 13th AGM, which was approved by the meeting. Sri P C Gopinathan

Nair, Secretary, presented a report, indicating the activities of the Karayogam during

the year under review. Sri M K S Nair, Vice-president, placed the audited accounts

for the financial year 2009-10, which was approved by the meeting. He also

submitted the budget proposals for 2010-11. The meeting also approved transfer of

30% of the membership fee to the KNSS Board.

Elections were also held for the new committee of management of the

Karayogam for the period 2010 to 2011. Sri A P Manoharan and Sri G K Kurup were

represented the KNSS Board as observers and conducted the elections and alsooversaw the AGM proceedings. All the office bearers and executive committee were

elected unanimously.

Karayogam requests all the life members to pay the annual subscription of Rs

WEDDING:

The marriage ofMs Akhila Gopan, daughter of Mrs B Seethadevi and Mr BGopa Kumar, Jaraganahalli, J P Nagar 6th Phase, , Bengaluru-78, a life member of the

Karayogam, with Mr Ranthir Muralidharan son of Mrs P Chandraprabha and latelate R Muralidharan, K K Pudur, Coimbatore, was solemnized on 25-4-2010 at SriKrishna Temple at Guruvayur. The Karayogam wishes the couple a long, happy andprosperous married life

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION:

The Karayogam celebrated the 61st Republic Day of the Nation on 26th January

2010 at its office. Sri E K Rajakrishnan, President of the Karayogam, unfurled the

National Flag. A good number of members of the Karayogam, attended the function.
