Dear Brother Knights, The last fraternal year just ended. We can use our District’s performance the last year as a guide and motivation to start the new fraternal year with positive attitude, confidence, and high expectations to do better. In the words of Pope Francis, “Help one another. This is what Jesus teaches us. This is what I do. And I do it with my heart”. As your District Deputy , I have been appointed to provide leadership to the different Councils in the District. I hope I can model acts of faith, charity and good judgement. I believe that when one sets a tone that is open and engaging, one can help ensure our District’s growth in terms of charitable outreach and member-ship. To all elected and re-elected officers for this fraternal year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for stepping up to take bigger responsibilities. In order to be successful in what we do, we are encouraged to understand our duties and responsibilities towards our church and community; make charitable works the focus of our attention; engage council officers in the order’s initiatives and encourage team work building among council officers. Let us pool resources with other councils in the district on larger initiatives and ensure that the councils are the “go-to guys” for the parish pastors. Lastly, let’s make it a priority to invite all eligible Catholic men to join our order. Together we will continue to make a difference in our community. We will be faced with bigger challenges as we go along. I appeal to everyone to have an open mind and implement your plans where it is effective in your respective councils. My primary goal this year is to improve our communication and to inspire responsibility and involvement throughout the different councils in the district. I will to the best of my ability, create enthusiasm and excitement about what we are do-ing and what we can all do together. With proper organization and awareness of various tasks and responsibilities for each of the council and with God’s help, we will be able to achieve our goals. First Degree Exemplification, July 27, 2015

July 1st is the start of the Columbian Year and this Fraternal Year 2015-2016, Council 6855 hit a milestone on July 27. That milestone was the First Degree Exemplification which was earlier deemed improbable. Thanks to the diligence of everyone, we had a productive first month and a good harvest, if you will. Four candidates made it to the first degree exemplifi-cation which was quite meaningful. Members of our brother knights’ families responded to the call. The son and son-in-law of the Team Captain, Worthy FDD PGK Brother Kim Ng, Gregory Ng and Brian Lam; the son-in-law of Bro. Rely, Renther Tombocon and the fourth is a family friend Samuel Candra . Several brothers came to attend and witnessed the degree exemplification which enhanced the spirit of brotherhood. Welcome to our new Brother Knights!
