Knights of Columbus
All Saints Council 11402
Dunwoody, Georgia
(Established July 4th, 1994)
“Opere et Veritate” 1 John 3,18
Brothers,
September was another busy month.
We formally approved our annual budget at the
September business meeting on September 7th.
We had another very successful Social Meeting on
Monday September 20th with Baseball and Tacos
at McGivney, especially welcoming new Brother
Knights. Unfortunately, the Braves were a litt le
less successful that night, losing to the Phillies.
We will probably not have a “formal” Social Meet-
ing this month due to the Oktoberfest, however, I
expect that McGivney Hall will be open, some
food and drink available and some interesting
entertainment on the “Big Screen” on the Social
Meeting date of October 19th.
On September 25 we had K of C
day at the All Saints Habitat for
Humanity house. There were a
good contingent of Brother
Knights on hand to do roofing as
well as insulation and interior
work.
We all enjoyed the lunch prepared
by Master Chef Greg Crnkovich
on the council cooker (although
I’m still not sure exactly what it
was).
The third installment of “Fathers
for Good” started and will be
continuing on Sundays at 10:30
AM through mid November.
Thanks largely to the work of our Worthy Advo-
cate, BJ Van Gundy, we have an Election Informa-
tion Poster in the church narthex showing all the
candidates for statewide office as well as statewide
legislative ballot initiatives.
There are also sources for additional information
on the candidates and the issues and information
on registering to vote, early voting and absentee
balloting. This should be a good resource for all of
us to assist in fulfilling our obligations to be good
citizens by casting informed ballots in the upcom-
ing elections.
Looking forward, our fourth degree brothers will
be providing an honor guard for the parish’s Mass
for Life, memorializing the terrible decision of the
US Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade that opened the
floodgates for abortions in our country. I urge you
to attend the Mass (Wednesday October 6th, 7 PM
with a “Living Rosary” starting at 6:30 PM). Each
person participating becomes a living bead and
says one prayer.
We will also be participating in the 25
th
Anniver-
sary Gala for Monsignor Kiernan on October 9th
commemorating Monsignor’s 25 years as pastor of
All Saints. The Fourth Degree will be providing
an honor guard and we will be providing beverage
service as well.
On Sunday October 17 we will be
providing an Honor Guard for the
farewell Mass and reception for
Archbishop Donahue. Later that
day, we will be having our annual
Oktoberfest at Rivermont Park (2:00
PM until about 6:00 PM. Come for
good food, drink and family fun.
Details to follow about what type
dish to bring.
Last meeting we voted to donate
$250 to Special Olympics and will
be presenting that check at their
softball tournament on October 30th
during an opening Honor Guard
ceremony.
The Keep Christ in Christmas Card Sale will
begin Oct 23/24 outside the church and social hall
and outside the Social Hall on Oct 30/31. After
that, the sales will continue inside the Social Hall.
On Sunday October 24, the 6:00 PM Mass will be
October’s “Badge Mass”, so if possible you
should try to attend that Mass, and ear your
Knights of Columbus badge. proudly You might
even talk to someone without one and ask if they
ever thought of becoming a Knight!
Vivat Jesus, Stan

Council Social Night at the Ol’ Ball Yard
2
The new Council leadership has re-instituted the monthly family social nights at McGivney. New brothers and their
families were the focal point invitees at a crowded taco night during a Braves game on our giant hi-def satellite TV.
Lots of kids were evident (mostly running around outside), but the adults were chowing down inside and meeting
many new members for the first t ime. We expect many more enjoyable theme nights in the coming months. Good food
and lots of noise and our giant cooker unit blazing away served to make for a very enjoyable evening.

Knights Further Parish’s 17th Habitat House
3
On a perfect September day, our council hosted one of the seven Saturdays required to complete our 17th All Saints
Habitat for Humanity House. A large crew based of knights, their spouses, friends, and various other parishioners made
major progress toward the completion of the home. The council also towed in our monster cooker to feed lunch to all the
workers under the supervision of Chef Greg Crnkovich. These pictures by our master photographer, Brother Scott Quady,
illustrate what progress many hands can do in combination with others. See the happy new homeowner below.

Brand New Members for Council 11402
Timothy Krulia George Pierce
Six new brothers became mem-
bers of All Saints at exemplifica-
tions held at our McGivney Hall
and at the new Mary Our Queen
Council 14944 in Norcross.
Two others were transfers. Tony
Sutter was a 3rd degree reactiva-
tion (which counts as a new
member because he was away
more than seven years) .
Our own Pastoral Vicar, Fr. Dan
McCormick, joined Monsignor
Kiernan and our new Pastoral
Vicar, Fr. William Hao, in
transferring onto the home team.

Six Brothers Proceed to 2nd Degree
5
On Thursday, September 30th, Mary Our Queen was the site of a 2nd degree ceremony. Six All Saints brothers, two from St,
Andrew, and eight from MOQ were promoted. Of the MOQ candidates, notably two of them were Pastor Father David Dye
and Parochial Vicar Father Stephen Lyness. The MOQ Council 14944 is increasing very steadily in size and has very strong
backing of their clergy. Like at All Saints, clergy support is an essential factor in a successful council.
Shown above is the All Saints contingent of Mike Klimshuck, Grand Knight Stan Wasowski, posing with candidates
Alan Prusak, Jerry Churchill , Mike LaPonzina, Andy Pokelwaldt, Tim Krulia, and George Pierce.
Wiley Maloof, Lou Hlad, and District Deputy Greg Crnkovich were also present at the ceremony.
Council Charity and Benevolence
At the September meeting, the brothers voted $250 for the Special Olympics Fall Soft-
ball Program. This will match the contributions from other councils in the Fr.
Watters Assembly and be presented as multiple checks by our Honor Guards at the
East Roswell Park event on Oct. 30th.
Our council hosted a Saturday at the parish Habitat for Humanity build on Sept 25th.
The council added a third seminarian, Jack Knight, to our support program to take
the place of a seminarian who transferred to the Chicago Archdiocese.
The council hosted and paid for an outing for the parish altar servers at White Water
Park. Forty four people attended the event.

Susan Johnson, 54, passed away suddenly. She was a very good
friend of Past Grand Knight, Greg Crnkovich, as they had worked
together at a former employer and had known each other for over 30
years. The remembrance ceremony was held at All Saints and our
acolytes were honored to serve while our brother, Father Bryan
Small, was the celebrant. Susan left behind both a teenage son and a
daughter. Many of their high school friends were in attendance.
Please pray for the family and our brother Greg.
Victoria Fustine, 94, passed away after a brief stay in hospice. She
was the mother-in-law of Past Grand Knight Deacon Ed Krise. He
had lost his father-in-law, Al Fustine, in a similar fashion a couple
of years ago. Please pray for Victoria, Ed, wife Carole, and the fam-
ily. Funeral services were held in their family Pennsylvania home.
Eddie Lites recently passed away. He was a very close friend of
Brother Dennis Caniglia and a constant customer at our fish frys.
They were very close and Dennis is grieving. Please pray for them.
