Announcements
There will be a called business meeting Sunday, August 26th immediately following worship to elect Deacons and Cemetery Committee members. A list of candidates are in today’s bulletin. This week please take the time to prayerfully consider each of these candidates. Cemetery Committee Meeting - Monday, August 20th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Finance Committee Meeting - Tuesday, August 21st at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. American Legion Meeting - Tuesday, August 21st at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Faith Challenger’s Sunday School Class Meeting - Tuesday, August 21st at 7:00 pm in their classroom. EWHS JV Football Dinner - Thursday, August 30th at 3:30 pm in the FLC. We will be providing pre-game meals to the East Wake High JV and Varsity football teams several times this year. We are in need of persons to help serve on the afternoons that we are hosting the teams. If you are available and would be willing to help serve meals, please contact DeAnne Talley at 919-217-8076. The remaining dates are September 27th and October 5th. All help will be greatly appreciated! Personnel Meeting - Thursday, August 30th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. KBC Preschool Open House - Thursday, August 30th. Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes attend from 6:00 - 6:30 pm. Tuesday, Thursday classes can attend 6:45 - 7:15 pm and Monday - Friday children can attend either of these times. The “Backpack Buddies” program is an ongoing ministry KBC has with Knightdale Elementary School. Although we aren’t delivering bags during the summer, we are continuing to collect items so that we will be prepared to start back in September. Donations like grits, oatmeal, soft packs of fruits, vegetables, soups, applesauce, pudding, canned meats, ramen noodles, individual packs of peanut butter, etc. are greatly appreciated. special ministry for the children in Knightdale! Stop Hunger Now - The packing event has been postponed to a later date! But please remember to continue to bring in your QUARTERS! KBC will be going to SHN’s warehouse this fall to do a packing event instead of them coming to us. Thanks for all your support! The Senior Adult Rally is Tuesday, September 18th at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The guest speaker will be Mr. William McNeill and special music by The Social Security Boys, a southern gospel trio. The cost is $11.00 (make checks payable to the Raleigh Baptist Association), so sign up by September 7th for some fun, food, fellowship and inspiration. The menu is: Barbecue Chicken, Boiled Potatoes, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, Rolls, Dessert, Tea/Water. Sign up sheets are in your Sunday School classroom. The church office will be closed Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day.

Also, if you have a change in the schedule for the children’s nursery or children’s church, please contact the monthly coordinator so that the change can be made prior to the printing of the worship bulletin. However, any permanent changes in the schedule should continue to be handled by the lead coordinator.

Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their safety!
