“The police need your help”

The Kitigan Zibi Police are seeking information from the community concerning the trafficking of drugs within the community and surrounding areas.

The KZPD will not stop at the borders of our community. We will go beyond. If we receive information concerning drug trafficking to our community members and the drug trafficker lives in the surrounding areas, we will investigate and have them prosecuted.

The community plays an important role in gathering information. I know personally that some people fear for their safety if they provide information to Police. Let me calm their fears.

I Paul McDougall, guarantee that a person who provides information;

1. Will not have their identity revealed to anyone except to who ever that person gives the information to and myself;

2. Will not have to testify in court.

Our community is seeing more and more hard drugs being sold and used by our community members that has a devasting effect to our community and social and mental wellbeing.

Please choose an officer that you are comfortable with, and provide your information to them. If you believe the information is valid however small you might think it might be, it can possibly part of a bigger puzzle that the Police are trying to solve.

Megwetch,

Paul McDougallDirector of PoliceKitigan Zibi Anishinabeg

COVID-19 GUIDE

It is our responsibility to ensure that we protect ourselves and keep our family members safe.

Be prepared if you have children or

other family members that you are responsible for by making sure you have the supplies at home

to care for them when they are sick.

Please follow physical distancing, mask wearing and hand washing measures to help prevent

the spread of this virus in our community.

We can all do our part in keeping each other safe.

WHAT IS COVID-19?

The new coronavirus is a respiratory virus that spreads primarily through drops from when an infected person coughs or sneezes, through drops of spit, or liquid from the nose or mouth. The spread of this virus will not stop any time soon so we must continue to practice physical distancing, mask wearing and hand washing.

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT SYMPTOMS?

I LIVE WITH OTHER PEOPLE. HOW DO I ISOLATE?

There are different family realities. If you are COVID-19 positive, the other people living with you should also practice isolation. Please ask for family members not currently living in your home to help as much as they can. If your family cannot help or you do not have family to help you during isolation, there are some KZHSS services that may be available to you such as grocery delivery.

parents.

Odekan Educators are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such:

as Scrubs, Masks and Visors.

If babies or children are showing signs of a cold or flu, they must be kept home.

FOR CAREGIVER’S MORNING OUT PROGRAM, Odekan will make a schedule when your

child can come in order to give a chance for new children to attend, we will be only taking 4

children at a time. This is our new safety measures due to Covid 19.

For first time children that are planning to attend the Sagabigoni or Caregiver’s

Morning Out Program, it’s recommended that your child stays only for 1 hour at

Odekan in order to get familiar with the Educators who will be taking care of them.

Children will be progressively integrated into the caregiver’s morning out.

At this time of Covid 19, it is your choice to bring your child to these programs. Odekan

Educators will do their best to promote safety measures and provide an enjoyable time

for your child.
