FROM WASTE TO RESOURCE
Each recyclable materials, if is differentiated and recycled properly, can have a second life, becominga resource from waste. It bring countless benefits to the environment and the community, such as areduction of greenhouse gas emissions and pollution, in addition to energy and raw materialssavings.
Hereunder some examples:
• Recycling one aluminum can saves the 90% of the energy needed to produce a new one and the314 Kg of aluminum collected during the GP will allow to produce more than 19.600 new cans(establishing 16 grams as average weight of a can).
• Recycling glass it will be possible to produce new bottle saving materials and energy (glass is a100% recyclable material).
• Producing recycled paper requires 60% less energy and 80% less water than the virgin paper andeach ton of recycled paper avoids the felling of about 15 trees.
• From organic waste you can get the compost.
