CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Fees must accompany entries, which close with the Secretary, Jan Chalmers,

Box 521 Kingston SE 5275. Phone 0408 695 007.

2. The Tournament Committee has the right to refuse any entry, alter any event, the right to re-handicap players, the right to maintain or close, should maximum players be reached in entries.

3. All ties in handicap events will be decided by a countback in the manner recommended by the S.A. Golf Association. In the event of a tie in the Championship, a sudden death play off will occur.

4. Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf together with such Local Rules as in force on the links over which the competition takes place.

5. All events open to financial members of Golf Australia (or state body), with an official Australian golflink handicap. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD PRESENT A GOLF LINK CARD AND PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP.

6. All events to be played in grades. Ladies AM, men PM.

7. All entries to be on entry form but if entry forms are not available, entries will be accepted, provided they include home club, club handicap and signature of competitor. 54 hole post entry must be paid in full prior to tee off on first day.

8. Maximum number of 60 players for any 54 hole event. All entries will be recorded in order of receipt of application so that should entries exceed the maximum num-bers of players for any event, the earlier entries will receive priority. Preferences will be given to players entering all events. Players wishing to enter single events will be accepted only after full week entries and are eligible to win daily events only. Any entry not accepted will be returned after closing date.

9. Each player MUST report to the Starter 20 minutes before hitting off.

10. Handicap Revision: Handicap Committee of each club.

11. Match Committee of each club conducting the event will decide daily disputes.

14. The rule of golf covering practice has been waived to allow players to practice on Tuesday and Thursday.

15. Competitors may not win more than one major trophy in daily events. Competitors may not win more than one major trophy in 54 hole event. This does not include the Veteran's event.

16. Late entries accepted if field permits, and will be put at end of field.

17. Mixed events: Maximum handicap for ladies is 45, men is 36. If you do not have a partner we will endeavour to find one if available.

18. Motorised buggies/carts GPS are allowed on all courses.

19. Entry fees for withdrawals after the completion of the draw, will only be refunded for extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the committee.

South East coast, Kingston, set on the shores of Lacepede Bay, is one of the most recognised tourist destinations in the South East of South Australia.

“Larry the Lobster ” is situated on the Princes Highway at the entrance to the town, and the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse is on Marine Parade; other interesting attractions are the Coorong, Mount Scott and Butchers Gap Conservation Parks, with many bushwalks, the Analemmatic Sundial – one of few in the world, the Granites and several museums. More information can be found at the Tourist Information Centre, based in the Kingston District Council Office.

Our beaches are claimed to be the safest in Australia and the Wyomi and Pinks Beaches can offer the whole family a variety of activities whether it be scuba diving, windsurfing, sailing, fishing from the beach or a boat, swimming or just to relax.

The Kingston and the Cape Jaffa jetties offer great fishing spots.

The Par 72 Kingston Golf Course is situated 1 km south of the town and

has been extensively redeveloped and redesigned over the last few years. Although no sand bunkers, the addition of many dog legs, grassy hol-lows and mounds have made this 18 hole course a challenging and inter-esting one. The greens and fairways are well watered and well main-tained and a credit to the Grounds Committee, the Greenkeeper and his band of volunteers.

Other sporting activities available are tennis and bowls.

Accommodation available at at Motels, Hotels, Caravan Parks (at Kingston and Cape Jaffa), and B&B's.

Several new businesses have opened recently, giving the town a wide variety of retail outlets. Kingston is well worth a stay before travelling on.

R O B ERobe has been a favoured place

to visit ever since it was settled over 150 years ago.

Built on the shores of Guichen Bay and surrounded on three sides by sea it experiences a milder cli-mate than the surrounding areas in both winter and summer, rarely reaching 35 degrees.

Many old buildings are still in use today. The establishment of a herit-age trail is a recent addition to the attractions of the town. Blue plaques on the front of old buildings provide a brief history of their existence.

Other attractions include the famous Obelisk, The Old Gaol, a refurbished Customs House and upgraded Royal Circus and the Beacon Hill Lookout. All attractions are easily accessible by car, bike or on foot.

Robe has a large number and variety of places to stay ranging from motels, self contained units,

beach houses, caravan parks and B&B accommodation. The tourist centre can assist those who need help finding somewhere to stay.

The Golf Course is currently a 13 hole semi-links Par 69 course with plans well afoot to expand to 18 holes. An upgraded club house and covered pergola overlook the “front nine” of the picturesque course. The “back nine” reveal spectacular views of the Southern Ocean as well as providing a golfing challenge for all players.

Visitors to Robe are also able to enjoy a wide variety of non-golfing experiences such as fishing, surf-ing, swimming, sailing, skiing, retail shopping, dining out, socialising at the club house or just lounging on our beautiful beaches.
