SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Horizontal loop EM and proton precession magnetometer
surveys were conducted on four claims in Wark Township. No
conductors were located.
Due to the proximity of this area to the Kidd Creek
Mine, it is recommended that the area be surveyed with
DEEPEM to locate possible conductors at depth.

INTRODUCTION
Horizontal loop EM and proton precession magnetometer
surveys were carried out in June of 1985 over four
contiguous claims in Wark Township. These claims, P-833449
to P-833452 inclusive, are located in the southern half of
Concession IV, Lot 11 (Figure 1).
Access to the property was attained on foot from
Highway 655, which passes 700 metres west of the southwest
corner of the claim group.
The geophysical field crew included S. Olink, B. Pigeon
and S. Ryan.
PREVIOUS WORK
In 1982, Placer Development conducted HLEM and proton
precession magnetometer surveys over the area. No further
work was carried out.
SURVEY DETAILS
An east-west base line was established with crosslines
cut at 100 metre intervals and stations established every 20
metres.
Magnetic readings were taken with a Scintrex

IGS-2/MP-4 proton precession magnetometer. These instruments
measure the Earth's total magnetic field to an accuracy of -i-
0.1 gamma. Diurnal drift corrections were made using a base
station recorder located at 7600N, 14000E. Data was
collected at 20 metre intervals. A total of 377 magnetic and
264 EM readings were taken along 3.6 km of line.
The horizontal loop survey was carried out with an Apex
Parametrics Max Min II using a coil separation of 160
metres. Data was collected at 40 metre intervals (20 metres
in anomalous areas) at frequencies of 444 Hz and 888 Hz.
EM RESULTS
No interesting conductors were detected within the
surveyed area (Maps l and 2). A power line is the source of
the anomalies seen on L14000E to L14400E.
MAGNETIC RESULTS
There are two regions of anomalously high magnetic
readings which correspond to known ultramafic units (Map 3).
