Northbridge Bulls welcome the officials, family/friends, and players from Wollongong Wolves to Sydney United Sports Centre for today’s match.

Following our draw against Marconi last week, we were happy to get a point away from home against them as it is always a difficult place to play. It was not our best performance, but we still found a way to get a point and I’m proud of the boys for that. It was great to see Nikola Ujdur return to the pitch in the second half after being out for 6 weeks.

Our preparation for today’s match does not change as we push hard each week to get the win and put in our best performance. We expect Wollongong to come back fighting after their defeat last week and are ready for a difficult match.

We hope you enjoy today’s match and wish both teams the best of luck.

GO THE BULLS!

Northbridge Bulls will be looking for all three points when they host Wollongong Wolves at Sydney United Sports Centre on Monday.

The Bulls were held to a 2-2 draw with Marconi last week in a drama-filled clash which included their coach Mile Sterjovski being sent off.

Northbridge is on a five-game unbeaten run with four draws and a win from their past five matches.

Their free-scoring ways have them tied for the highest-scoring team in the competition and will surely be on display this week against the Wolves.

Rory Jordan’s four strikes this campaign leads the tally for the Bulls, and he will be crucial to their chances this week. He really has been the star of the show at the Bulls and has handled himself as one of the best young talents in the league.

Stephan de Robillard is another player who plays a big part for the Bulls and will be on to watch.

They face off against a Wollongong team which suffered a 5-1 thrashing at home against Sydney Olympic.

It was a major reality check for the Wolves, who slumped to their second consecutive defeat.

Coach Luke Wilkshire will be determined to help his side find the consistency they need to make it into the finals.

Captain Lachlan Scott scored his side’s only goal last week and will again lead from the front to lift the Wolves to victory.

He will need the support of star recruit Leroy Jennings if Wollongong is to taste victory with the skilful attacker just the man to break through a leaky Bulls backline.

Both sides are equally matched, with a moment of brilliance likely the deciding factor in this contest.

Marconi Stallions 2 – Northbridge FC Bulls 2 at Marconi Stadium

A ten-man Marconi Stallions have fought back to snatch a dramatic 2-2 draw against Northbridge Bulls in a wild and at times fiery clash at Marconi Stadium on Sunday.

The Stallions fought back from 2-0 down to secure their tenth draw of the season in a match which had a little bit of everything.

Goals to Northbridge’s Kyle Cimenti and Stephan De Robillard had the Bulls on track for a sensational upset, but Marconi’s Mitchell Mallia and Marko Jesic found the back of the net on each side of the interval to secure the home side another competition point.

The incredibly fiery match saw eight yellow cards and two red cards awarded, with Northbridge Bulls coach Mile Sterjovski and Marconi Stallions forward Anthony Frangie both sent from the field in the late stages of the game.

Wollongong Wolves 1 – Sydney Olympic 5 at Albert Butler Memorial Park

Sydney Olympic moved above Wollongong Wolves on the National Premier Leagues NSW ladder with a blow-out 5-1 win at Albert Butler Memorial Park on Sunday afternoon.

Olympic took the lead early on through Benjamin van Meurs before Lachlan Scott equalised for the Wolves not long after.

Michael Glassock’s goal with 10 minutes to play in the first stanza saw the away side head into the sheds in the lead.

Three second-half goals from the visitors with a brace to Mohamed Adam and a goal to Jason Madonis secured Ante Juric’s side the three points.
