Retreat detailsLocation and areaRedesdale is a small town in Central Victoria, 120km (90min drive) northwest of Melbourne. The township developed from the mid-19th century to service the growing merino wool industry. It is flanked by the Coliban River to the west and the Campaspe River to the east.

Redesdale is surrounded by rolling hills and the picturesque small townships of Mia Mia, Sutton Grange, and Barfold, all of which have flourishing vineyards, and olive groves as well as traditional farming industries.

Kez’s Hideaway is located on 20 acres of farmland, which has been generously donated to The OTIS Foundation by The Campbell family, third-generation local farmers. The retreat is surrounded by agricultural pastures and is opposite Mount Lofty Bushland Reserve.

The property is accessed via an unsealed road and care should be taken during wet weather.

AccommodationKez’s Hideaway sleeps up to eight guests and is best suited for families or larger groups. It has four large bedrooms, consisting of two queen rooms and a two bedrooms with two single beds each. The retreat also includes two bathrooms and a separate disabled toilet.

AvailabilityKez’s Hideaway is available for four night stays from Monday to Friday or three night stays from Friday to Monday. Bookings can be made throughout the year including school holidays and public holidays (subject to availability).

Pets/smokingPets are not permitted and Kez’s Hideaway is strictly smoke free.

Heating/CoolingThere is ducted heating and air conditioning throughout the retreat.

Key accessKez’s Hideaway requires an access code for both the electronic gates and a keybox, which holds the key to gain access to the property. Both codes will be provided to you by OTIS approximately two weeks before your stay.

What to bringGuests are required to bring their own food and personal items. All linen including bedding and towels are provided for your use.

Other considerations:The roads surrounding Redesdale are home to a large number of kangaroos – they can be a real hazard on the roads. Please drive carefully and slowly. Dawn and dusk are when they are most active but they can appear at any time out of nowhere and can be very unpredictable. Native animals, including snakes, can be seen close to the retreat and caution should be taken, particularly during the warmer months.

The retreat is surrounded by native trees and the house plays host to a variety of bird life and is often visited by families of kangaroos. There is also a herb and vegetable garden for guests to use, a children’s playground, firepit and BBQ.

Location and areaMoyarra is located a one and a half hour drive (125km) south east of Melbourne and approximately 20min east of Leongatha and a similar distance north of Inverloch. The stunning nearby beaches surrounding Inverloch and Venus Bay are worthy of the short drive from this retreat as are the rock pools surrounding Cape Paterson.

AccommodationRolling Hills Retreat can accommodate two guests and is perfect for a couple. There is one bedroom, one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, plus two separate living areas. There is a beautiful deck at the front of the property and another at the rear with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

The main bedroom has a queen bed and there is a sofa bed located in the living area. The lounge area is the perfect spot to relax with a book in front of the gas log fire.

AvailabilityRolling Hills Retreat is available for seven night stays between January and November.

Pets/smokingPets are not permitted and Rolling Hills Retreat is strictly smoke free.

Other considerationsAll bedding linen and towels are provided at Rolling Hills Retreat. Guests are required to bring their own food and personal items. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a Weber BBQ is available for guest use.

The property owners live in a separate cottage on the property.

One stay per year.
