New Teachers starting at St Jude’s in September

My name is Magdalena Tomaskova, I studied Music as an educational programme at Prague Conservatory majoring in classical guitar. I have been teaching music and guitar for several years in Prague. In 2012 I relocated to the UK and trained in the Orff method of elementary music teaching. I have been working at an independent school providing inclusive education, where I started a rock band and helped to develop a school choir. Music lessons are an opportunity to explore, engage and develop the inner creativity of every child, I am really looking forward to teaching music at St Jude's Primary School where students are incredibly musical.

My name is Susana Pouso Lema , I have been teaching in London for the past 3 years. Currently I am teaching at the Ark Schools where I am a Year 2 Class Teacher and Reading Lead. I am driven and passionate about teaching, and I’m excited to bring my experience of teaching Phonics and Maths Mastery to St Jude's Reception Class. Outside school, I enjoy taking countryside walks and playing volleyball.

Special Shakespeare Performance at St Martin in the Fields Secondary School!

By Shanae Class 5

On Saturday 9th July we performed at the Shakespeare Festival, as well as their great performance there were other

attractions such as fire breathing, archery, and a magic performance. In the performance I played Hermia and I

really enjoyed the day and I hope to go again. By Annabelle Class 5

The Shakespeare play I did was called Macbeth, I was one of the witches. I wanted to do my witch voice but it

would have been too loud. By Claudenea Class 5

We performed scenes from a handful of Shakespeare plays. I played the suiters from The Merchant of Venice. We

all had a brilliant day. There was fire breathing, archery, circus skills and a BBQ. By Freya Class 5

School Meals

Could all parents please ensure that they settle their dinner money bills before we break up for the summer

term.

PRICE INCREASE

As from 1st September 2016 the price of a school meal will be as follows:-

£2.26 per day = £11.30 per week.

Over the years we have tried to keep the cost of school meals down as we possibly could. However, due to

cuts in our school budget we find we can no longer subsidise the cost of school meals and have to charge

parents the price that the catering provider will be charging the school.

The prices for school meals for the next school year will be as follows:-

If you would like to make on line payments for your child’s school meals, please visit www.parentpay.com
