Recycling at your kerbsidesaves the earth’s natural resources

With your help, we recycled over 14,000 tonnes of materials last year. This helped us achieve a recycling rate of over 30%. Please continue

to recycle as much as you can using your red and blue boxes and bagsto help achieve a recycling rate of 50% by 2014.

Further information Please put any excess recyclable items in see-through carrier bags

and place beside your red or blue box at the kerbside. Please help us by putting only the correct items in the boxes as items

that can’t be recycled will be left in your box. Please flatten the contents of your red box which means you get more

in your box and we get more in the lorry that picks it up. Please rinse the contents before putting them in your blue box or opaque

bag as items which are not clean may not be able to be recycled. You can collect rain covers, blue bags and textile bags at your local

library or you can order boxes online at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/recycle
