To: Whom it may concern regarding Kendall Tynes Fr: Keith Helmetag, partner [email protected] Amy Siegel, partner [email protected]

This letter is offered with C&G Partners whole-hearted endorsement of Kendall Tynes for your consideration as a multi-faceted architect/ designer with additional skills.

First, we wish to underscore that C&G Partners has released Ms.Tynes solely as a result of not having the high level work that can utilizes her talents and in no way reflective of Kendall’s acumen. This decision has not come easily and it is a setback to us, but offers an opportunity for Kendall to further expand her horizons and resume with the next job.

C&G Partners is a multi-disciplined design practice that seeks out architects with a broad passion for design and the content (history, religion, art, science, finance, sports, music...) that defines our projects. In the three-year tenure that Kendall was with us we have received a Museumwise award for her work on an exhibit for the Essex County Historical Society and extensive accolades. We wish here to highlight a few of the important sign/ branded place, print graphic, media and exhibit commissions that have benefited from her contribution--the new Yankee AAA Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre PNC Field; the National Opera & Library of Greece (in collaboration with Renzo Piano); the new American Embassy in London (in collaboration with Kieran Timeberlake Architects); the University of Maryland Medical Center; Scenic Hudson’s West Point Foundry Preserve and 9/11 Memorial and Museum to name a few.

C&G Partners seeks out designers that can become renaissance. Kendall came to us from a solid architecture academic background. While at C&G Partners, she embraced the additional talents-- Photoshop rendering with embedded media; Revit and CADD interfaces with documentation generated on the Mac and PC; 3D rendering and numerous other programs-- that allowed her to fluidly move between ideas, design practice areas and the diverse work that she encountered. She also played an active role in researching and developing content for many of the high profile commissions noted previously.

Work ethic and focus are key attributes in our studio. Kendall is a flexible, congenial team player with ability to offer ideas and lead the process.

Client interaction and new business acumen are integral to achieving the best in design. Kendall has played an active and value-added role in many proposals during her stay.

We have offered Kendall work on an as needed basis and when our situation improves and if she might so desire, Kendall would be welcomed back at C&G Partners. In the interim, whoever is graced by her employment will benefit.

In sum, Kendall Tynes has C&G Partners 100%+ endorsement and feel free to call, e-mail or write for further specific support of her talents.

With best regards,

Keith Helmetag Amy Siegel Partner Partner

A comprehensive orientation, directional wayfinding and mapping system at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The new signs feature sleek, polished porcelain enamel faces, set within custom, cast bronze armatures that evoke the Garden’s austere, late 19th century fixtures, with stark directional lettering providing an instantly recognizable graphic contrast to the grounds.

Signage and graphics program at PNC Field in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, home of the Scranton/Willkes-Barre Railriders, the New York Yankees’ Triple-AAA affiliate. The signage system echos the minimalist designs at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, scaled to the more intimate minor league setting, with comprehensive graphic standards and PNC Bank branding set tastefully throughout. The sign program also builds upon the stadium’s private suites and on-site Mohegan Sun Club.

A permanent exhibit for this renowned regional museum and history center. Through extensive iterative workshops with local community members and historians, Worked/Wild was born, using detailed personal histories to explore the tenuous relationship between human settlements and the rugged upcountry Adirondack environment, populated since pre-Revolutionary times and long a haven for cross-country skiers, hikers, and for summer recreation along Lake Champlain. The Historical Society’s extensive archives of original photographs, source documents, and historical artifacts were fully utilized to show the delicate balance that still exists in this landscape of extreme hardships and extreme beauty, and the uniquely resourceful citizenry’s often desperate approaches to working and civilizing this land over four centuries.
