Keeping the Faith When Your Prayers Arent Granted When Prayers Arent Granted Is it proper for people of faith to ask WHY? (Psalms 88:1-14; 13:1-4) Because we are not righteous (Psalms 66:18- 19; 55:22; Proverbs 28:9; 1 Peter 3:12) Because we have not prayed in faith (James 1:6-7) Because we did not pray according to His will (1 John 5:14-15; James 4:3) Because He is trying to teach us something (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) Humility To rely on His grace To trust His power many who waited long years for healing learned this important lesson (John 5:5; Luke 8:43-44; 13:11) Why Would God Say Because God takes His time creating beauty (Ecclesiastes 3:11) To help us learn to trust His wisdom Zacharias waited long for a son; the event occurred in Gods time, according to His plan (Luke 1:13, 17) I asked God for strength, that I might achieve. I was made weak, that I might learn to obey. I asked for health, that I might do greater things, I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches, that I might be happy. I was given poverty, that I might be wise. I asked for power, that I might have praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life, I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing I asked for, but all I hoped for. I am among all men, most richly blessed!
