    Karmaarth Cultural eventJagan Institute of Management Studies, Sector-5, Rohini,

    New Delhi organized a Cultural Event on behalf of itsNGO Karmaarth on Wednesday, 25

    thApril 2012. The

    role of Karmaarth in the society and its goals were

    showcased. Its endeavor is the overall development of

    the weaker section of the society by creating a source of

    living. The goal towards which it is heading is noble.

    Through various programmes like Child Welfare

    education, Slum Children Education and others it has

    reached the masses and their depravities have been

    mitigated by creating an employability quotient in them.

    The Guest of Honor for the event were Japanese

    Delegates of an international trading firm Alue India Pvt

    Ltd,Managing Director Mr Hyato Ivana . Other attendees

    in the event were Mr Hosoi San: and Attendant of the

    Japanese delegates Ms Avneet, along with 16 Japanese

    trainees.

    The event was inaugurated with the Lamp Lighting

    Ceremony by Prof R.P Maheshwari, Director General,

    JIMS. Saraswati Vandana created an atmosphere of

    purity and serenity. All the performances were given by

    the students of Karmaarth. An Introduction to Karmaarth

    was presented by Ms Kalpana (Social Work Officer)

    through a presentation; she is heading the Karmaarth

    branch at Rohini. The Students of Karmaarth gave

    energetic dance performances like Haryanvi Folk Dance,

    Punjabi Folk Dance and Rajasthan Folk Dance. Their zeal

    and energy was showcased in their performances.

    Our Japanese Delegates visited Karmaarth, to understand

    an NGO setting in India. They also interacted with the

    students to understand their real life conditions. Getting

    familiarized and understanding the Indian culture which

    is our pride was another task they did. Our culture is our

    pride; there are many facets of colors in our culture.

    From Haryanvi to Rajasthan, Bengali to Urdu all are tiedup in one thread i.e. INCREDIBLE INDIA. We are diverse

    in culture, language and many other things which makes

    India a land of DIVERSE CULTURES. Karmaarth showcased

    the real side of the Indian culture through dance

    performances Folk Dances (Haryanvi, Rajasthan &

    Punjabi) by our students. The talent in these

    underprivileged youth is immense, the challenge is to

    define & identify it.

    The mementoes of appreciation were presented to the

    Guests and the certificate of participation to the

    participants (Karmaarth Students). Overall, the event was

    well appreciated both by the staff members and friends

    from Japan.
