Usual relaxation in Upper age will be given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and other
categories, as per the Government rules.
Age relaxation to the internal candidates will be given as per the existing University order.
Relaxation of Marks
A relaxation of 5% marks will be provided at the Masters level for the SC/ST/Differently abled
(Physically & Visually differently abled) categories. The 5% relaxation to the categories
mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks, without including any Grace
marks.

(Rupees Five Hundred Only), remitted in Kannur University fund should be attached along with the
application.
Head of account of remittance: In Treasuries: 8658-00-102-96(27) KUS. Payments can be made through
Pay-in-Slip from the branches of SBT also, where the Chalan slip of Kannur University is available.
Applicants residing outside Kerala State may send DD in favour of the Finance Officer, Kannur
University, payable at State Bank of Travancore, Kannur University Thavakkara Campus Branch,Kannur.
The G.O. (P) no. 135/2014/Fin dated 08-04-2014(regarding National Pension System) & G.O.
(P) no. 211/2005/Fin dated 11-05-2005(pertaining to the Protection of Pay) will be applicable to the

Explanation: Based on the teacher’s self-assessment, category II API scores are proposed for co-curricular and

for eligibility is 15. A list of items and proposed scores is given below. It will be noticed that all Candidates can

Part B of the Application Form is based on Appendix-III, Table 1 of the UGC Regulations - 2010, 2013.
For each category, even though several avenues of activities and their API scores are given to provide
choice/opportunity to the teacher, the maximum limit of scores that can be given or carried forward under the
respective category is indicated at the respective place.
The self-assessment scores are subject to verification by the Screening/Verification Committee or Selection
Committee of the University.
CATEGORY I :
TEACHING, LEARNING AND EVALUATION RELATED ACTIVITIES
I.1 Lecture/Seminars/Practicals/Tutorials/Contact classes taken should be based on verifiable records. No score should be assigned if a teacher has taken less than 80% of the assigned classes. Universities may give

Category: III. Research and Publications and Academic Contributions
This is to be filled as per Appendix III Table 1, Category III of the UGC Regulations 2010. Wherever the research contribution is jointly made, the API Scores should be shared between the contributors as per the formula provided in the Table 1.
III. Summary of API Scores
As stated in the UGC regulations 2010, the API scoring will be progressively rolled out for categories I and II, beginning with assessment of one year for selection committees in 2010-2011, annual averages of two years in 2011-2012 and so on. But for Category III, scores will be computed for the entire assessment period as already indicated in the Regulations.
IV. Similar PBAS Proforma could be developed by the Universities for the
Cadres of Librarian/Deputy Librarian/Assistant Librarian and Director of
Physical Education & Sports/Deputy Director of Physical Education &
Sports/Assistant Director of Physical Education & Sports based on the API
Scoring pattern outlined in Appendix III : Tables – IV to IX of the UGC-
Regulations, 2010.
