THE KALAS PASSION

KALAS Sportswear Company was founded out of a deep passion for cycling. Our company founder, a longtime professional cyclist and domestic cycling legend Čestmír Kalaš started manufacturing cyclewear in 1990 in an effort to raise funds to support his main interest - cyclo-cross sport in Tabor; Czech Republic.

Over the last two decades this original idea from a stubborn cycling enthusiast has grown into a leading European manufacturer of cycling and sports apparel. Sportswear with the Kalas logo are currently worn by world and Olympic champions, members of many national teams and thousands of amateur and recreational cyclists.

Although KALAS Sportswear now employs nearly 200 people, we are still a family-run business and we personally guarantee that we will always work to achieving the best quality for our products. The Kalas cyclewear and sportswear collections are hand made in Europe from top quality materials using experienced seamstresses and the latest printing technology. When developing our products we work with professional sportsmen and with renowned research institutions to create clothing that meets the highest requirements for functionality and comfort.

The Kalas clothing is manufactured exclusively from the finest materials sourced from Italy and Switzerland. In combination with the latest manufacturing processes you get a product which is at the forefront of technology, functionality and comfort that looks excellent. When designing a product Kalas pay attention to the details that enhance comfort and function of the product; reflective elements, detachable sleeves that transform your jacket into a gillet, water-proof zippers, flat seams, storm flaps and many other practical enhancements.

Kalas make sure that every garment is flawlessly manufactured, for this reason all the production is done under one roof at our headquarters in the Czech Republic. We have full control of the entire production process - from design to packaging.
