1. A minimum of 13,000 single purchase order should be placed in June and in July, followed by P14,000 single purchase order in August, and P16,000 single purchase order in September.

2. If an Independent Beauty Consultant misses a month, she cannot continue with the program. Sales orders cannot be carried over to the next month. Each month’s sales requirements must be made within that month.

3. This program follows calendar month-end for eligibility. No extension or grace period will be given.

4. If an Independent Beauty Consultant places a minimum order of P13,000 single purchase, twice or more in Month 1, these cannot be carried over to their next NCB month, which is month 2. When she places her first required minimum single purchases within a particular month, she may already avail of the free products under the NCB program. Succeeding single purchases made within the same month will NOT be carried over to the following month.

My method as a new team member was to initially call up my relatives and friends to offer them best-selling Mary Kay products. Afterwards, I personally went to my prospective recruits and customers no matter how far they were situated. I let my customers try some of the products. My best-seller products are the Mary Kay® Sun Care SPF30 Sunscreen followed by the Mary Kay® Lash Love Mascara. I used the free Beauty Bundle by trying out some of the products personally, the others I used for my skin care class and others I gave out as gifts to recruits who were enthusiastic in signing up.

Before selling any product to my customers, I give them a free facial first during which I explain why we need a skin care regimen and how to protect and maintain healthy skin. Apart from our skin care products, my favorite products to sell are color products such as the marykayatplay™ Baked Eye Trio and the Brow Definer Pencil. Initially I reached out to my friends and family, then got referrals from them. My advice is to be patient and have more confidence to show and convince people what Mary Kay can do for them.

My favorite product to sell is the TImeWise® Microdermabrasion Set because after using it during facials, my customersimmediately see a brightening transformation on their skin. My advice when it comes to reaching out to customers is to create your own Mary Kay image first before facing your customers. Personally, I use Mary Kay skin care products appropriate for my skin and age. Then, I would always carry complete tools for facial and color products so I am always ready to do a demo whenever and wherever I go. It’s also important to ask for referrals from newly-found customers so you can hit your big sales goals.

I’ve always loved selling our TImeWise® Miracle Set to my customers. It takes away their wrinkles and fine lines. Then, I like to follow that sale up by offering them the Mary Kay® CC Cream Sunscreen SPF15 tocomplement their skin care regimen with a color product. It’s also my way of building my customer’s brand loyalty towards Mary Kay products. My advice is to try out the Mary Kay products for yourself first so you will have personal experience and testimonial to share with your customers. It will also make you more reliable and effective when you endorse the products.

1. How did the Success Journey program help you achieve your goals? As a new Sales Director, this program challenged me to become an achiever and create a big impact on my unit. As a leader, I want to set a good example for my members. If they see me as an achiever, they too will become achievers. For me, the Success Journey goes beyond the rewards. It’s about sharing the business opportunity to others so they too can see and feel the beauty of what Mary Kay offers.

2. Joanna’s Advice:Mind your attitude. Your attitude dictates where you go. If you have the right attitude like showing up at trainings, being organized and focused, you will surely become successful.

Attend unit meetings. These meetings are important because it’s where a Sales Director can personally update unit members of the new products, promos and activities they can join. It’s also a chance for coaching and mentoring.

Set goals and plan on how to achieve them. Each month end, you must set your goals for the upcoming month and create action plans on how to achieve them. Every morning, wake up and do what you planned. Make yourself productive every day and make a difference.
