Intercede with Us for the Muslim World! For the message of the cross is sheer nonsense for those who are lost, but for us who are being saved, it is the power of God

(1 Cor. 1:18, Sharif Bible).

Islam does not teach the sinfulness of man and the necessity of redemption, therefore Muslims reject what we celebratetoday: the death and then the resurrection of our Savior! Pray they will see their need for and accept this ultimate gift.*

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and AlumniNORTHERN GHANA: Four students ask us to pray for various requests: (1) Three districts have very few churches, and it is not easy to work there. Pray that the Lord will call more workers to go and join the few already there. (2) Inone particular village, the Assemblies of God church had closed. Now a pastor is going to plant a new church; pray forfavor, wisdom, and provision for him. (3) Pray that the Lord will encourage those in ministry in the north, that He willhelp them to keep their eyes fixed on Him and not on the difficulties. (4) Pray that more men will join the churches.

TOGO: Islam has been much stronger in the north but is moving south. A student asks us to pray concerning theactivity of Muslims in his southern town. They are buying up land and claiming that if they can take this town, theycan win Togo. Please intercede for this student and others in ministry there, and for the Christians, that may have astrong, positive influence in their town for the Kingdom.

In the NewsA new program to educate children about Islam is being launched in schools in the Czech Republic. Called “Muslimsin the Eyes of Czech Schoolchildren,” the project will teach the tenets of Islamic faith and practices beginning in theprimary schools and will encourage deeper study, debates, and interaction with Muslims. Promoted by a Muslimadvocacy group, the program is being funded through a grant from the U.S. Embassy in Prague. Please pray for theseschoolchildren, teachers, and parents, that they would sense the inherent dangers in these teachings. Pray that the Lordwill open up new opportunities for believers to present the true gospel to the many who have no relationship with God.

World Watch List: Pray for the Persecuted**Nigeria is ranked #14 on the list of countries where persecution against Christians is most severe. The terrorist groupBoko Haram continues to aggressively attack towns and villages, markets, schools, churches, and even governmentinstallations. This past week more than 100 schoolgirls were kidnapped from a school in a Christian-dominated townin Borno State; most have allegedly been released. Please continue to pray for church leaders and believers, that theSpirit will encourage and embolden them. Pray for the members of Boko Haram, that they may see the truth of God'ssovereignty and the love and forgiveness He longs to extend to them.

For Muslim Women***Please pray that Zanzibar’s 1% Christian minority females would be called and empowered for effective outreach tothe islands’ very conservative Muslim majority population. The Zanzibari Muslim woman has virtually no hope forsalvation, barring the testimony of local believers who would brave immense obstacles to reach her.
