Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his

thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him . . . . he will freely pardon (Is 55:6-7).

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and AlumniGUINEA-CONAKRY: A student requests prayer concerning politically motivated violence in Conakry this past

week. Several have been killed and more than 200 wounded. Some 90% of Guinea's people are Muslims. Pray for

peace and for open doors to tell people in the midst of tension of the peace Jesus gives.

MALI:Thank God for what He is doing in this land. A student reports, We see Him working, and there is a thirst for

the gospel as people are disappointed in Islam. The school and church in Timbuktu, though closed, have been leftintact and have not been looted. The well there, put in by Africa Oasis Project a few years ago, has been the only

source of water for many. Pray that these disillusioned people will find the Living Water they desperately need.

NIGER: Pray for the protection and witness of Assemblies of God pastors and churches around the country. In the

past several months at least 2 churches have been attacked; in one case the pastor's widow, who pastors the church,

was burned out of her home. A student who pastors near Niamey reports that for Christmas and New Year's services,

his church was guarded by 8 guards and services had to end at 8 p.m. He asks that we pray for the end of persecution.

NORTHERN GHANA: A student pastoring in a Muslim-dominated city asks that we pray (1) that the Lord will give

him more wisdom to reach the people, (2) that the efforts of Muslims to make Arabic and Islamic studies compulsory

in the schools would be fruitless, and (3) that the Lord will open the eyes of Ghana's leaders to the realities of Islam.

SENEGAL: An alumnus serving as a missionary in Dakar is planting a church. He asks us to pray (1) for fruit in their

efforts to distribute literature in the streets and on the buses; (2) for several seekers who come individually for

instruction, and that the Lord will use films of testimonies that he shows them; and (3) for an outreach in a

neighboring town, that a new church may be started here.

In the News

IRAN: Pastor Saeed Abedini's legal team has been granted a hearing before the UN Human Rights Council next

week. The petition drive continues until 11 March. Continue to pray for his release and return to his family.

Pray for secret believers in the world of Islam and for those who try to help and disciple them. There are hundreds of

thousands of such believers in some nations, such as Iran. Other countries have relatively few. Wherever they are,

pray that the Lord will strengthen these Christians in their faith and use them to lead others to Him.

For Muslim Women**Please pray for Christian women who serve as guest workers in Muslim countries (migrant and immigrant house

helpers), that they will impact the homes they serve with their godly example and timely message.
