In 2017 they transitioned to a new ministry in the country of Bulgaria, a formerly communist country with fewer than 2% evangelical Christians. Their goal is to help plant more evangelical churches in Bulgaria. While working on their language acquisition, the Flowers are engaging in ministry through their local church. Angela is leading music at church and for a church outreach, as well as music therapy at an orphanage in the city. Phil is preaching regularly at the church, discipling men, and helping with an “English Camp” outreach hosted by the college ministry. The children attend a Bulgarian school, learning every subject in a new language. Pray for the Flowers family to have strength and energy as they balance language learning with ministry opportunities.
