I have prayed with this reading so many times during funerals:
Gospel MT 11:25-30 At that time Jesus exclaimed: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hid-den these things from the wise and the learned, you have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
The mystery of our Faith is so beyond my comprehension yet so palpable in all the Sacra-mental life of our Church. Our God is a God of Hope. Let us be aware that we can all learn from each other and be aware of the simplicity of the Gospel. We are all tired and burdened. Lord, come and carry us. We need you.

He rezado con esta lectura tantas veces durante los funerales: Evangelio MT 11: 25-30 En ese momento Jesús exclamó: “Te alabo, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque aunque has ocultado estas cosas a los sabios y sabios, las has revelado a los pequeños. Sí, padre, tal ha sido tu amable voluntad. To-das las cosas me han sido entregadas por mi Padre. Nadie conoce al Hijo excepto el Padre, y nadie conoce al Padre excepto el Hijo y a cualquiera a quien el Hijo desee revelarlo. Vengan a mí, todos ustedes que trabajan y están agobiados, y les daré descanso. Toma mi yugo sobre ti y aprende de mí, porque soy manso y humilde de corazón; y encontrarán descanso para ustedes mismos. Para mi yugo es fácil, y mi carga ligera.” El misterio de nuestra fe está más allá de mi comprensión, pero es tan palpable en toda la vida sacramental de nuestra Iglesia. Nuestro Dios es un Dios de esperanza. Tengamos en cuenta que todos podemos aprender unos de otros y ser conscientes de la simplicidad del Evangelio. Todos estamos cansados y agobiados. Prayer and fasting are good, but better than either is almsgiving accompanied by
righteousness… It is better to give alms than to store up gold; for almsgiving saves one from death and expiates every sin. Those who regularly give alms shall enjoy a full life. Tob 12:8-9

Toothbrushes and medium or small tubes of toothpaste Shampoo and soap
Sneakers and sturdy walking shoes in good condition
Categories of Items We Accept for Donation Clothing: Basic everyday clothing for adults and children all ages. This includes underwear, socks,
and nightwear. Donations should be clean, modest, and in good condition. Groceries:Basic staples and items that make for healthy meals. Groceries must be unopened and well
within freshness dates. Bedlinens:Blankets, sheet sets marked by size, and bedspreads.
Other household necessities: Towels, dishes and serve-ware, pots and pans Various small household goods: Small appliances (such as crockpots) in good working condition,
decorative items, TV trays, suitcases Toys: Clean, and in good working condition, with all their parts packaged together and taped shut.
Books: stories with great plots and action (no magazines, reference books, or textbooks) Other: Sleeping bags, backpacks and tote bags, hats, gloves, belts, handbags
