1 – MOTORWEEK (ADVENTURE SPORTS OUTDOORS ON 7/29)
We are happy to welcome two interns from Bradley University to the WTVP team for the summer and into the fall. Adeola Fashola (right) is a senior and is majoring in Television Arts. We are look-ing forward to put his production, camera operation and editing experience to work this summer. Ade would eventually love to be a screenwriter.
Misa Nagase will be a junior in the fall and is studying Public Relations. She is just returning from studying abroad in London and working as a social media coordinator for the US Embassy in Lon-don. We are eager to put her social media and organizational skills to good use here at WTVP. Misa tells us her dream job would be to work for NPR.
We are excited to have them aboard and if you see them around the station please give them a warm welcome!
Please Welcome...

Glacier Park’s Night of the Grizzlies
4 July 1 & 2—Patriotic Pitmasters Make your Fourth of July cook-out a sizzling success with the help of Create’s grilling gurus Steven Raichlen, Aaron Franklin, Sara Moulton, George Hirsch and the America’s Test Kitchen team. Impress your guests with their sure-fire recipes for garlic-lime grilled pork tenderloin steaks, bacon-wrapped scallops, baby back rib sandwich, NOLA-style barbecued shrimp, authentic Texas brisket and more!
4 July 8 & 9—Camp Create Rise and shine, campers! This marathon is packed with fun summer activities designed to keep kids engaged while school’s out. P. Allen Smith teaches local children how to grow vegetables, make mosaics with rocks and assemble a birdbath. Family Travel With Colleen Kelly and Travel With Kids embark on educational adventures in the Caribbean, New Orleans, South Africa and Maui. And the Hands on Crafts team weaves a beaded dream catcher, makes a lantern and designs colorful hand grips for bikes.
4 July 15 & 16—Just Peachy This weekend, Create chefs incorporate this quintessential summer fruit into flavorful entrées and desserts. Annabel Langbein flambés peaches by the seaside. Sara Moulton uses Georgia peaches in her chutney burgers. Ellie Krieger preps a healthy weeknight dinner featuring peach chicken with crispy bread crumbs. Cook’s Country’s Julia Collin Davison revives a classic recipe for Dakota peach kuchen. Jacques Pepin finishes his meal with a classically made peach melba. And Martha Stewart makes a regional specialty — Baltimore peach cake.
4 July 22 & 23—Beauty and the Beach Bask in blue lagoons this weekend as Create’s resident globe-trotters visit some of the world’s most exotic beaches. Rudy Maxa, Rick Steves, Joseph Rosendo and Darley Newman revel in the crystal-clear waters of Hawaii, Tahiti, French Polynesia, Greece, Australia and Mozambique.
4 July 29 & 30—Pedal Along Join Create’s intrepid travelers as they see the sights from the seat of a bike. Rick Steves rides along Rome’s iconic Appian Way; Darley Newman takes in the scenery of Little Rock, Arkansas on two wheels; Rudy Maxa bicycles to Amsterdam’s great art museums; and Pedal America’s Ira David Levy and Kati Lightholder cycle around Austin, Savannah, Napa Valley, Chicago, Sedona and St. Petersburg.
