This week the property at 3705 Wilmington Pike wasdemolished as part of our Wilmington Pike ImprovementProject.

The Wilmington Pike corridor is the backbone of ourcommunity and its vitality is central to the strength ofour commercial success.  We are investing $10 million,with 95% of funds coming from grants, in infrastructureimprovements to this roadway.  The Wilmington PikeImprovement Committee, a group of business ownersand community stakeholders, engaged in a strategicplanning process to identify the most importantchallenges and promising opportunities for this essentialcorridor.  Together with City staff they created a planto regenerate investment and spur economicdevelopment.

KetterGreen Shred Day

  Construction is underway on the Prugh Woodsdevelopment located at the intersection of DorothyLane and Prentice Drive near the Kettering RecreationComplex. The initial work will involve the clearing ofthe property to allow for construction of the accessroad and preparation of residential lots for homeconstruction. The bulk of the heavy construction shouldbe complete by the end of 2016, with the constructionof new homes to continue in to next year as the homesites are sold. 

The Prugh Woods development will include constructionof a new access road to the Kettering RecreationComplex from East Dorothy Lane, which will be namedPrugh Woods Drive. A multi‐use pedestrian/bicyclepathway will be constructed along Prugh Woods Drivewith a connection to Westcott Drive.

ART ON THE COMMONS CELEBRATES 28 YEARS 

 Rosewood Arts Centre is pleased to announce Art on theCommons, one of the Dayton area's most popular finearts festivals, is back for its 28th year at Kettering'sLincoln Park Civic Commons. Scheduled for Sunday,August 14, from 11 am until 5 pm, Art on the Commonsfeatures fine arts and crafts by over 90 talented artistsfrom throughout the United States.  

Live entertainment, featuring renowned local band,Puzzle of Light and The Burundian Royal CourtDrummers, as well as plenty of interactive art activitiesare scheduled throughout the day.

Concessions include Fraze Pavilion's Ernie's; the coolingtreats of Sweet P's Handcrafted Ice Pops; Kona Ice; thechef‐prepared cuisine of Harvest Mobile; desserts by GoCupcake and delicious Greek food by BJ Events.
