Questions & (hopefully) answers
EBSCO (NetLibrary) and Recorded Books have agreed to amicably part ways
Recorded Books content will not be available on EBSCO or NetLibrary platforms as of Dec. 31, 2011
EBSCO will move all NetLibrary content to the EBSCOHost platform on or about July 18, 2011
Recorded Books is launching its own OneClickdigital platform at about the same time
Libraries must transition to a new platform
It isn’t really practical to transition EVERYONE statewide to Recorded Books’ OneClickdigital in July
We recommend that public libraries go directly to the OneClickdigital platform, skipping EBSCOHost
For academic libraries and K-12 schools, consider a transition to OneClickdigital before school starts in the fall
Everyone must switch to OneClickdigital before Dec. 31, 2011
If your library decides to transition to OneClickdigital now, contact Bryan Messersmith:
Request the enrollment form via e-mail Fill out the form, and return it to Recorded Books ASAP
If you do nothing, you will be transitioned to the EBSCOHost platform
You can transition to OneClickdigital later (but before Dec. 31)
The EBSCO support site for eBooks and eAudiobooks: http://support.ebscohost.com/ebooks/
EBSCO has been sending out weekly tips on the transition. To view all of the tips and an FAQ, visit http://support.ebscohost.com/ebooks/tips.php

Recorded Books
The Recorded Books OneClickdigital platform supports the following types of authentication:
IP Address recognition Referring URL Library card number (bar code matching) SIP2 EZProxy
Recorded Books will provide MARC records for all of their titles
Recommended procedure: Delete NetLibrary MARC records; upload Recorded Books MARC records
Unless your library has an alternate procedure available (such as batch editing of MARC records)
Tech support for MARC records issues should ideally come from your ILS vendor, not Recorded Books
