July/August Soccer Cal August 9, 2012 (Pleasanton, CA) - Congratulations to Pleasanton resident and referee Kyle Wiest, who was named US Youth Soccer Region IV Young Male Referee of the Year Friday, June 22 during ceremonies at the 2012 Far West Regional Championships in Phoenix, AZ. Earlier this year, Kyle was honored as 2011 District III Young Male Referee of the Year and 2011 Cal North Young Referee of the Year. USASA names Jeff Staben Region 4 Referee of the Year August 9, 2012 (Pleasanton, CA) – It is with knowledge of the credit that Jeff Staben brings to the work he does for the game and for the officials that we are proud to announce that he is the Region 4 Referee of the Year. Jeff will be honored at the AGM later this year and will represent not only CNRA, but the entire Region as the best of the best in the 14 States that make up Region 4. The USASA is represented in over 50 State organizations and also includes PDL, Women's Premier Soccer League and the W-League. The USASA is involved with Cups such as the Donnelly Cup, and the Veteran's Cup. Read more here... Cal North Hall of Fame Nomination Deadline October 1, 2012

The purpose of the Cal North Hall of Fame is to honor those

individuals who have made outstanding contributions to youth

soccer as a player, coach, referee, administrator or other youth

soccer-related activities.

CCSL Set to Begin its Third Year - Cal North Cal Soccer League

is set to begin its third year with the launch of the new Premier

Open division the weekend of August 18. The Premier Open

division allows teams that may have other fall playing

commitments to still qualify for the Cal North State Cup. The Cal

North State Cup is the only local qualifying event for the

prestigious US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, the

Region IV Presidents Cup Cal North Recap!

Cal North sent twelve teams to participate in US Youth Soccer

Region IV Presidents Cup in Arvada Colorado, doubling the

number of participating teams that participated in the 2011

season. The Cal North Presidents Cup champions in U13-U17s

along with several wild card teams gave a very strong showing
