1. The number of people involved in agriculture and horticulture has been in steady decline for the last four decades. The number of farmers has dropped by 40% since 1981. This decrease is due in part to the reluctance of young people to remain in family farms.

3. Climate change affects agriculture in a number of ways, including through changes in average temperatures, rainfall, and climate extremes, changes in pests and diseases

4. Marketing Agribusiness major changes are taking place. On the demand side, consumers are changing lifestyles, eating and shopping habits. The agricultural producers, meanwhile, face increased regulations with regard to food additives, pesticides, and herbicides.
