JUBILATION 2015 A festive saga of Jubilian tradition

JUBILEE HALL, THE REAL JEWEL

  The stroke of the midnight brought with it a ray of new hope for India, the world was asleep but India awoke to life and freedom. 1947 the memorable year for millions saw another jubilant event, the establishment of Jubilee Hall, one among the most prestigious Institute in India. The hall is not just another residence, but an institution by itself, having a glorious legacy. Jubilee Hall has a unique history of grooming great personalities. Each and every region of the country portrays different customs and traditions and jubilee becomes a meeting point for all these students. From here they follow only one tradition i.e. the writing of a new success story. Many of them become towering figures like bureaucrats, diplomats, economists, judges, lawyers, scientists, entrepreneurs.

The Jubilee Hall may be the only institution from where a chief justice, a chief minister, a union minister, a chief secretary and a large number of bureaucrats have emerged. Jubilee endeavours to foster the bond we share with earlier generations of Jubilian.

MEMORIES FOR A LIFE TIME

The uniquely constructed red-brick building endowed with beautifully expanded

corridors sits firmly at the end of Aravali range. Northern side of this hall is blessed

with a lawn which is a home to various trees; planted by the dignified ex residents.

This lawn filled with greenery is overflowed with smell of various flowers which entice

even the peacocks and eagles to miss their real homes.

Jubilee Hall hosts more than 200 rooms, a well equipped computer room with internet

facility, indoor and outdoor game facilities, a canteen, reading room, a common room

and a gymnasium.

Apart from academic excellence, Jubilee Hall is well known for hosting various cultural

programmes, debates, quizzes, and film screenings, and music concerts, talks on

various national and international issues which attract remarkable participation from

the whole campus.

JUBILATION 2015

JUBILATION 2015, the annual festival is an occasion to reinvigorate the shared spirit, bringing together all past members of Jubilee family with the present residents through a cultural bonanza. The celebration includes a major music concert, release of the hall magazine, quizzes, debate competition and various other cultural activities culminating with a grand fest.

GLORY OF JUBILATION

Jubilation is not only the celebration of our hall, its much awaited programme of the Delhi University since previous events of Jubilation has witnessed the performance of great singers like Gulam Ali, Pankaj Udhas, Amjad Ali Khan, Talat Aziz, Jagjit Singh, Chandan Das, Shamsher Mehndi, Manhar Udhas, Nizami brothers and many others. In our previous Jubilation, Javed Ali had performed in presence of more than 3000 members of the Jubilee Family.

JUBILATION 2015

Jubilation 2015 is proposed to be held on

11th of April 2015. We are organizing musical ghazal night and other

cultural events in the presence of eminent chief guest (Union

minister/Governor/Chief minister) and with our beloved Jubilians.
