Happy Thanksgiving Fall is here! It is a special time of the year. It is a month to be thankful, a time to spend with family and friends, to enjoy homemade cooking along with delicious desserts! Come and enjoy the Thanksgiving Parade or cheer on your favorite team in the Rose Room.

This will be my 3rd year trimming our lobby holiday tree on November 22nd at 1:30. There will be hot chocolate, yummy holiday treats, and music and a special surprise, so come enjoy the holiday fun with me. I will

be needing all of Santa’s Elves to help me trim the tree to add an ornament or just watch the magic unfold with everyone. What a wonderful way to bring the holiday spirit to Roseville Commons. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Warm blessings to everyone during this beautiful thanksgiving time.

History tells us that the first Thanksgiving celebration lasted three days … here at Roseville Commons we’re celebrating all month! ~ Keep your calendar close so you don’t miss out on anything ~ On November 10th we are hosting a complimentary Veteran’s Day Remembrance Dinner 4:00-6:30pm, preceded by the patriotic

sounds of Jerry Lopes at 2:30pm. Please invite your retired and active military family and friends to join us. Seating is

limited so RSVP no later than November 3rd. At 1:30pm on the 19th our Fourth Annual Casino Gala comes to life ~ Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Texas Hold ‘em too, dancing, fabulous appetizers, drinks, raffles and fun, fun, fun! Help Juanita trim the Lobby Christmas on the 22nd and discover the magic of a winter wonderland. My favorite holiday is

Thanksgiving which falls on November 24th this year. Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Feast in the Dining Room between 11:00am – 1:30pm and

don’t forget “Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting” A bushel full of thanks and a basketful of hugs to all!

We will be offering pies for Thanksgiving…your choice of Pumpkin, Apple, Pecan and Cherry. Cost is $8.00 each, checks only please, payable to Roseville Commons.

The Holidays are Coming!

Fall is my favorite time of year, the leaves are changing and falling to the ground, the cool crisp nights, the sweet smell in the air. Awe yes the Holidays are here, it’s that time of year were we indulge a little bit more than usual, as we are enjoying the holidays with our family and friends. Sometimes all that good food and good times brings on a few extra pounds, but keep in mind we have plenty of exercise options available to fit everyone’s needs at Roseville Commons to help you melt away those few extra pounds. Mon-Sat: Senior Stretching @ 9:30-RR Mon-Sat: Tai Chi/balancing @ 11:15-RR Tue,Thurs. & Sat. Walk with Tina @ 9:30-LO If weather is permitting 1st & 3rd Wed. Hula Fitness @ 12:30-RR Mon & Thur. Wii Bowling @ 1:00-LO I would love to see more of an involvement in our Hula fitness class, last month we made leis for our head and feet, prior to having our

exercise class with Maria. The hula fitness class is great for balance, and your core muscles, you don’t have to stand to do these

exercises, you can sit in a chair or walker, and you can use your walker or a chair to support you as you are exercising. Come down and try it out. My door is always open, if’s I’m not in I have a suggestion box by my door, feel free to tell me What’s on Your Mind!

Culinary Corner

Happy Holidays Residents! This November will be a fun-filled one. We have a delicious Chef prepared Surf n Turf menu scheduled to honor our military veterans on November 10th. Our annual Casino Gala Event will also be held this November on the 19th. We will have light appetizers during the event for you to nibble on while you gamble, and an elegant dinner prepared afterwards. One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving! Not only because of the meaning behind the

holiday, but because of the food!!! We have a special celebration waiting for you and your families this

Turkey Day! I hope to see you all there. Thank you so much for all of your compliments and suggestion from the Resident Suggestion box! It is so nice to hear feedback from you all and your recommendations are very helpful in

addressing problems or how little things might be improved. So please continue to let me know

what you like, dislike and if you have any suggestions you think I should hear. My ears are always open to you, so that together we can help improve our community and your dining experience.
