Pharmacy Journal Club (PJC) Journal club presentation Pharmacy journal club is a biweekly meeting scheduled for scholarly discussion and  presentation of journal articles, patient cases, and relevant topics (disease states, new drugs, new practice ideas, etc.) pertaining to the practice of clinical pharmacy. Two people are asked to lead discussions, debate, or present at each meeting. Presenters  primarily include students and residents, however pharmacists and faculty will contribute to the discussion and may occasionally present. Outline for journal club presentation  I. Introdu ction A. Study objective/purpose 1. Is the purpose of the study clearly stated? B. Hypotheses 1. Is the research question or hypothesis clearly stated? II. Methodology/Study Design  A. Design of the experiment/trial 1. Is it a clinical trial, case-control, cross-sectional, or case-series? B. Population/sample 1. What are the criteria for inclusion and exclusion of subjects? 2. What limitations result? C. Treatment allocation 1. How are subjects chosen or recruited? Randomly? 2. If not: a. Are they representative of the population?  b. How were patients sel ected for the study to avoid bias? c. If there is a control group, how is it chosen? 3. How are patients followed up? Who are the dropouts, and how
