Bawah Reserve offers a sensational island experience in Indonesia’s remote Anambas archipelago. With an earth-first philosophy from its inception, the Reserve’s 36 sustainably-made suites combine refined island elegance with barefoot luxury simplicity.

Guests have three lagoons, six islands, 13 beaches and 300 hectares of untouched forest as their private playground. Island activities and spa treatments are included in the daily rate, as are fresh, healthy, Indonesian and Mediterranean dishes made from ingredients grown in Bawah’s own gardens.

JOURNEY

Bawah Reserve lies 160 miles northeast of Singapore in Indonesian waters. Guests are picked up in Singapore – from the airport, a hotel or a private residence – by Bawah’s preferred, outsourced car service and driven to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. From there, Bawah’s travel host escorts guests on a 30-minute ferry ride to the Indonesian island of Batam. On arrival, guests are driven to Batam airport where they board Bawah’s amphibious seaplane for an 80-minute flight, landing on the water in the resort’s main lagoon.

• The journey from Singapore is approximately 4 hours, arriving in time for lunch

• Up to 3 seaplane flights per day, 7 days per week

• Baggage allowance is strictly limited to 15 KG (inc hand luggage) due to seaplane weight restrictions. Excess luggage may be stored.
