I was waiting with impatience for all my friends! The schoolchildren put on a lovely show. The show started with three fables by Jean de la Fontaine, ‘The Crow and the Fox: CE2V, “The Hare and the Tortoise” CM1B, “The Lion and the Rad” CM1V, then afterwards we sang French songs. After the show we left for the bateaux-mouches. We went past lots of historic monuments like the Alexander III Bridge, the Panthéon, Notre Dame and lots of other monuments. The evening they all wanted to return.

Tuesday, May 19

Today me and my friends went to Notre Dame de Paris! The kids drew the big centrale compas rose that figured on both sides. After the visit, we went back to the school for the workshop. We had to reproduce a compas rose on plaxiglase. After the workshop, we went to eat at the cafeteria to eat. After we had eaten, we went to the Pavillion of the Arsenal and I got to see the city of my dream from plane view! The children have gone back to their host family.

Wednesday, May 20Yes! Another great day for visiting Paris! Today the programme was visiting the 'cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine' and then a picnic and then the Eiffel Tower (I have so much to tell!).Firstly we visited the 'cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine' and I learned lots of new things. And then me, the teachers and the other kids did a workshop. There were lots of activities: 1) kind of puzzle - 2) some plastic figures 3) some figures with plastic semi circles - 4)paper geometrical shapes . We then left and had a picnic in a park near the Eiffel Tower. We then went up the Eiffel Tower in the lift. We went up to the 2nd floor, it was so high!!! We decided to walk back down using the stairs - I felt like I was walking on air! We stopped on the 1st floor and then finally arrived at the bottom! Phew! Then we returned to school.

Thursday, May 21 It’s the last whole day with our friends! We are going to do an activity were we have to measure the cafeteria with our hands, elbows, and arms , after we redo the plans of the cafeteria! Then the kids went back to their classes. In the afternoon we visited the Marais. We went to the town hall in the 4th arrondissement. In the town hall, the mayor talked then the French teacher spoke in English, and I did not understand! This is the moment I’ve been waiting for all day, my friends and I received necklaces and passports ! There was a little snake. Coming back from the town hall, at school I walked with my Greek friend. At school there was a cocktail party and I had to say goodbye to the Turkish kids because they were leaving early in the morning so I will not see them again at school. Ah! I am tired. Almost all the kids are leaving tomorrow afternoon! Too bad! Well there is still Greece, Poland and Finland!!
