FLORIADE 2012 AND KEUKENHOF GARDENS

Floriade 2012 is expected to be the largest and most popular exhibition of its kind ever staged. It showcases every aspect of horticulture with exhibitors from all over the world contributing their displays and expertise. It has fi ve themed areas and each day includes a cultural programme of music, dance, literature, theatre and art.

Our tour to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens takes us through fl at, fertile landscapes of tulip fi elds, church spires, medieval towns and windmills that give visitors the feeling of being in the middle of a Rembrandt or Vermeer painting.

BRUGES CHRISTMAS MARKETS

Whilst most squares are festively decorated, Bruges’ Market Square is a main focus of attention with its wonderful stalls and ice rink. Colourful lights illuminate festive stalls crammed with Christmas goodies and the city is host to the magical Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival, which is defi nitely worth a visit while enjoying your festive tour.

The Belgian capital, Brussels has the largest Christmas Market in Belgium, with over 240 stalls lining the streets of the Stock Market, Place St Catherine and Place du Marche aux Poissons, selling gastronomic specialities, handicrafts and unusual stocking fi llers

There can’t be many settings more beautiful at Christmas than medieval Bruges, with its cobbled streets, historic buildings and horses and carts plodding by.

We also have time to visit Ostend which is Belgium’s most popular seaside resort. With a very individual charm; characteristic sea front, marinas, parks, bustling markets and shops.

EUROPE

Renowned as one of the world’s greatest fl ower growing nations, this fantastic 5 day tour to Holland is a must for those with green fi ngers!

HEBRIDEAN ISLAND HOPPER

Day 1 Thursday Depart for overnight accommodation in the Argyll Hotel, situated in Inveraray.

Day 2 Friday We travel to Oban where our Hebridean adventure begins as we sail to the Isle of Barra, passing the 11th century Kisimul Castle as we enter Castlebay.

Day 3 Saturday Breakfast at leisure as you take in the magnifi cent views from the hotel, maybe see a plane or two land on the beach! A day to relax and sample island life where Gaelic is still widely spoken. Take a stroll along the beaches, or perhaps visit Kisimul Castle on a short boat trip.

This new tour covers the total length of the Hebrides and is the ultimate in Scottish island hopping, with dramatic mountains, romantic glens, sparkling lochs and 1800 miles of breathtaking coastline.

Day 4 Sunday We depart Barra on the ferry to Eriskay, with its great sandy beach known as Prince Charlie’s Bay. We continue along the causeway to South Uist, the second largest of the islands - It was here that the SS Politician sank with 50,000 cases of whisky, later made into the fi lm ‘Whisky Galore’. Lunch is included at the Dark Island Hotel before we catch the Isle of Harris ferry, continuing northwards to Stornaway, our base for the next two nights.

Day 5 Monday Our guided tour of this northern part of the Hebrides takes us to the Callanish Standing Stones, ancient thatched ‘blackhouses’ and the 2000 year old Broch of Carloway.

Day 6 Tuesday After a morning free to explore Stornaway we board the ferry to Ullapool and then on to Inverness and the Spey Valley for our fi nal night.

Day 7 We depart the hotel after breakfast and make our way home.

THURSO, CASTLE OF MEYAND THE ISLE OF ORKNEY

Located on the north coast of Caithness, Thurso is an excellent base for exploring the North Coast of Scotland, including the beautiful Orkney Isles.

Thurso, situated on the Pentland Firth in the beautiful sheltered Thurso Bay, is mainland Scotland’s most northerly town, and home to the country’s most northerly railway station.

We visit the enchanting Castle of Mey, the most northerly inhabited castle on the British mainland, which was used for almost half a century as the late Queen Mother’s Scottish holiday retreat. She created the beautiful gardens that are protected from the fi erce north winds by a high wall.

We also travel by ferry from John O’Groats to the main island of the Orkneys where we continue our journey by coach to explore some of its treasures such as the historic sites of Scapa Flow and the Italian Chapel, as well as the prehistoric sites at Skara Brae, the Ring of Brodgar and Kirkwall.

PITLOCHRY

Pitlochry’s beautiful Victorian buildings are set against a backdrop of forest covered hills and surrounded by lochs, castles, and a wealth of history which provides the opportunity for the perfect holiday. Edradour Distillery, the smallest distillery in Scotland, nestles in a glen close to the town.

Pitlochry, situated close to the geographical heart of Scotland, is the perfect base from which to tour the Highlands.

A full day excursion takes us via Glenshee and the Cairnwell Pass into Royal Deeside a favourite retreat of royalty and commoner alike. We visit Braemar before travelling along the side of the River Dee to Crathie Church, Balmoral Castle, summer home of the Royal family, and on to Ballater where almost every shop has a ‘By Royal Appointment’ coat of arms above its door!

We also travel the area around Loch Tummel to the Queen’s View with its breathtaking scenery. We continue on to Aberfeldy and then travel along the side of Loch Tay to the village of Killin, where a narrow stone bridge carries the road across the River Dochart, close to the Falls of Dochart, a spectacular series of river rapids.

OBAN AND ARGYLL, MULL AND IONA

Set in a spectacular location, Oban is the gateway to the Western Isles and is a touring centre for the West Highlands. Northern Argyll is breathtaking in its mountain grandeur and steeped in clan history. The scenic riches range from the wild Highland peaks of Glencoe, notorious for the Massacre of 1692, to the jagged and spectacular coastline more than a thousand miles long.

Oban is situated in a sheltered bay with curving shores and wooded hills. Hotels and shops line the waterfront, providing a charming, relaxed atmosphere. The tour features a full day excursion to Mull and Iona - ferry fares are included.

SPECTACULAR SHETLAND AND ORKNEY CRUISE

Day 1 Saturday Depart for overnight accommodation in the Golden Lion Hotel, situated in the centre of Stirling.

Day 2 Sunday We make our way northwards to Aberdeen where we catch the overnight sailing onboard the MV Hrossey or MV Hjaltland to Lerwick on Shetland (photographic ID required). Both are modern ships, built in 2002, carry 600 passengers, with shops, restaurant, bars and a cinema. Dinner and ensuite cabin are included.

Day 3 Monday After breakfast onboard the ship, we join our coach for a full guided tour of this beautiful island. We travel the unspoilt coastline of magnifi cent cliffs and an array of wildlife, including puffi ns, and visit the outstanding prehistoric archaeological site of Jarlshof. Our journey back north takes us past Scalloway Castle and Museum then on to Lerwick, where we have some free time in the town before boarding the ship. Dinner is served onboard as we make our way south to Orkney and our hotel for the next two nights.

If you are looking for a tour with a difference then Dodds’ voyage of discovery to Scotland’s most remote isles is a must. Island lifestyle has changed little over the years and is distinctly different from the ‘mainland’. Blending history, archaeology, folklore and tradition, experienced guides will ensure you do not miss any of the island’s wonders.

Day 4 Tuesday We have a full day of sightseeing today, again with the benefi t of a local guide. We take in the unspoilt seascapes, landscapes and the bountiful wildlife of the island, and encounter 5,000 years of history at the world heritage sites of Skara Brae and nearby Skaill House, the Stones of Stenness and the Ring of Brodgar. The tour also takes in such famous wartime sites as the Churchill Barriers, the Italian Chapel and Scapa Flow, as well as Kirkwall and St Magnus Cathedral.

Day 5 Wednesday We leave beautiful Orkney behind this morning as we make the short ferry trip to Thurso, passing the Old Man of Hoy on our crossing. We drive south, passing Helmsdale, Brora and Dunrobin Castle before reaching Inverness around lunchtime, with time free for shopping and sightseeing. We continue southwards to our overnight hotel.

Day 6 Thursday After breakfast we depart our hotel to travel homewards.

FORT WILLIAM AND SKYE

Our fi rst visit is to one of the famous Scottish islands - the Misty Isle, Skye - travelling by ferry from Mallaig to Armadale. The southern end of the island is a profusion of green pastures set against the backdrop of high mountain tops. Portree is the main town on Skye and is perhaps best known for the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie bade farewell for the last time in 1746 to Flora MacDonald, who had famously conveyed him ‘Over the Sea to Skye’.

We also have an excursion to Oban, the unoffi cial capital of the west Highlands acclaimed as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’. McCaig’s Tower, a coliseum style monument dominates the skyline and the hotels and shops lining the waterfront provide a charming and relaxed atmosphere.

Situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe and dominated by the sheer beauty of the Nevis mountain range, Fort William has proved to be a popular tour destination for Dodds customers.

PANORAMIC SCOTTISH RAMBLER

This tour takes us through Fort William, along the Great Glen with a cruise on the beautiful and mysterious Loch Ness before arriving in the town of Beauly.

From the rugged West Highlands around Fort William, Loch Ness and the Great Glen to the Kingdom of Fife, complete with its legends, history and golf, this tour encompasses the very best of what Scotland has to offer.

After a full day at leisure in Beauly we embark on a tour of the North West Highlands, passing Loch Maree and Gairloch and continuing on with a magnifi cent coastal drive past Gruinard Island (Anthrax Island), Little Loch Broom and the Corrieshalloch Gorge,) to arrive in Ullapool for some free time.

Our tour of glorious Speyside begins with a steam train journey from Broomhill to Aviemore. We continue through Perthshire to Dunkeld, with time to view the cathedral and grounds. After your fi rst night at the Craws Nest Hotel we journey via the pretty coastal villages of Anstruther and Crail, before proceeding to St Andrews. We return home over the Forth Road Bridge and Edinburgh.

Our tour is based in the Earl of Desmond Hotel in Tralee, the county town of Kerry and home to the world-famous Rose of Tralee international festival. It is a bustling tourist centre with historic buildings, splendid open spaces, a range of all-weather visitor attractions and excellent shopping.

Enjoy our day tour to the tranquil Killarney Lakes and view the majestic beauty of its mountains. Our excursion to the Ring of Kerry reveals a marvellous diversity of landscape in a relatively short distance. Over a 20 mile drive we travel through rolling hills, mystical forests and tree-lined mountains, around a rugged coast looking out to the great Atlantic ocean.

Kerry is the jewel in Ireland’s crown, a beautiful county with rugged mountains, tranquil lakes, unspoilt strands and rocky inlets that combine to make the spectacular south west of Ireland.

IRELAND

GALWAY AND LIMERICK

Ennis is a beautiful old market town with narrow winding streets, a nineteenth-century cathedral, a stout monument to Daniel O’Connell and a medieval friary. The meandering River Fergus runs through the middle of the town. Nearby, the Cliffs of Moher and the breathtaking beauty of the Burren are a must for any visitor to the area.

Our tour takes us to Adare and then on to Limerick. Located on River Shannon, it is a bustling, vibrant and exciting destination packed with excellent shops and wonderful restaurants. Its ancient streets reveal a rich medieval past.

Following excellent feedback from our passengers since fi rst appearing in our 2010 brochure, we again offer this fantastic tour, based in the Woodstock Hotel just outside the town of Ennis in Co. Clare.

We also visit County Galway with its haunting and utterly wild and craggy countryside, with free time in Galway City and Lisdoonvarna.

ENGLAND

THE COTSWOLDSAND OXFORD

With its unique warmth and richness, the Cotswolds is the perfect venue for anyone in search of a relaxing holiday in the ‘true’ English countryside.

The ever enduring appeal of the Lake District, one of England’s very few mountainous regions, makes this tour a fi rm favourite.

Our base is in the lovely Lakeland town of Grange-over-Sands, sometimes called the Torquay of the North because of its warm spring temperatures. The town has a long promenade and excellent views across Morecambe Bay.

Enjoy country roads that wind through peaceful river valleys and admire fl ower-bedecked cottages in honey-coloured villages that seem unchanged since medieval times.

SPLENDID LAKES

Our tour takes us to Coniston where John Ruskin the Victorian artist is buried. A memorial to Donald Campbell can be seen on the village green. We spend some free time in Ambleside where the ancient market cross and the 17th century Bridge House still survives. On our return journey to the hotel we visit Bowness-on-Windermere, a sprawling tourist town situated on the shores of Lake Windermere.

We also travel via Windermere and over the Kirkstone Pass, the highest road in the Lake District, to Keswick. We fi nish the day with a visit to Grasmere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. There will be free time to explore the village and an opportunity to visit Dove Cottage where William Wordsworth lived for a short time.

Our fi rst excursion takes us to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and Royal Leamington Spa.

Our next excursion tours through the Cotswolds countryside with its welcoming, traditional pubs, specialist shops, tea rooms, restaurants and old coaching inns.

Our fi nal excursion visits the outstanding Cathedral City of Oxford. Explore some of the city’s most famous sites and hidden treasures - with its surprises and delights, Oxford has something to offer everyone.

SCARBOROUGH

Scarborough is a town of immense style. Safe beaches, cliff tops and a busy shopping centre stand only yards apart and are all reached by the Victorian cliff lifts. Perched on a rocky headland are the ruins of a medieval castle and at its foot is the harbour where fi shing boats still land their catch.

With beautiful beaches, great attractions and superb shopping, Southport is the perfect destination for a holiday.

Wander along the Victorian splendour of Lord Street, with its unique range of shops, relax in Kings Gardens or stroll along the Pier, Southport has a charm all of its own.

We visit the city of Liverpool, with its beautiful architecture, interesting museums and exciting shopping. A guided city tour in the morning leaves the rest of the day free to enjoy the many attractions on offer, including the Beatles’ Story and the International Slavery Museum.

There is also a tour to Chester, considered to be the best-preserved medieval walled city in England. Dominated by the cathedral and famous for the whiteplastered and black-timbered rows of houses and shops, you can spend your free time exploring the historic cobbled streets.

Always a popular destination, Scarborough is a delightful, bustling seaside town that caters for the whole family.

SOUTHPORT

We visit the City of York an outstanding historical site where many of the narrow streets have not changed much since the Middle Ages. As well as the Minster, York boasts a host of visitor centres and museums.

There is also an excursion to the historic market town of Pickering, terminus of the Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and the offi cial gateway to the North York Moors National Park. We then continue on to Whitby with its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque houses dominated by the cliff top ruined Abbey.

BOURNEMOUTH

Internationally known for miles of clean, safe sandy beaches, Bournemouth is situated within a large valley where Victorian arcades, modern boutiques, unique gift shops, antique treasure troves and high street stores mix with each other in complete harmony. It is the perfect base from which to explore picturesque villages with chocolate box, thatched cottages and the New Forest, where you can wander among grazing ponies and stop for a Dorset cream tea.

Excursions from Bournemouth include Lyndhurst, regarded by many as the capital of the New Forest, and the medieval city of Salisbury. We also visit Dorchester, the Casterbridge of the Thomas Hardy novels, and the classic seaside resort of Weymouth, with its vibrant harbour.

Bournemouth is a popular holiday destination where, during the day, visitors can relax and recharge their batteries.

With its mild climate, sparkling blue waters and twenty-two miles of coastline, Torquay is often referred to as the ‘English Riviera’.

Torquay has been a holiday destination since Victorian times, when bathing huts were wheeled down to the beaches. The town has shrugged off the boring, traditional seaside town image and throughout the year has something to offer visitors of all ages and interests.

TORQUAY

We spend some time in Exmouth with its miles of sandy beach and wide variety of shops, places to eat and things to do before continuing on to Sidmouth with its regency history, friendly shops and beautiful gardens. We also visit the quaint, bustling fi shing port of Brixham - explore the charming streets and alleys with their unusual and exciting shops - and Paignton, famous for its host of seafront attractions and facilities to suit all tastes.

On the ten day tour we also visit Plymouth where wide, traffi c-free spaces offer a shopping experience to be enjoyed. Stroll along Plymouth Hoe and explore the history of this maritime city.

CHATSWORTH HOUSE AND THE PEAK DISTRICT

Experience the varied landscapes of the Peak District, from the rolling fi elds and hedges, green river valleys and dales to the powerful, stark beauty of the wild and barren, heather moorland.

We visit Chatsworth House and Gardens, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and one of Britain’s best loved historic houses. A new visitor route has been opened through the house to include newly restored galleries, displays of rare treasures and a restored stone courtyard at the heart of the house.

Our holiday base, the Lion Hotel, overlooks ‘Y Maes’, part of the original Medieval Common Land where four roads meet, one north to Caernarfon, one west to Pwllheli, one east to Porthmadog and one south to the sea.

their holiday (not including insurance premiums and amendment charges). We will only have to pay this maximum amount if everything has gone wrong and you have received no benefi t from your holiday. If you or any member of your party is killed, injured or becomes ill as a result of transport by ship, train or coach, any liability which we may have to pay compensation is limited in line with the Athens Convention (applies to transport by ship), the Berne Convention (applies to transport by rail) and the Geneva Convention (applies to transport by road). You can get copies of the relevant conventions from us if you ask. You should also note that these conventions may limit or remove the carrier’s liability to you and the amount which the carrier has to pay you. If we make any payment to you or any member of your party for death, personal injury or illness, you will be asked to assign to us or our insurers the rights you may have to take action against the person or organisation responsible for causing the death, personal injury or illness. Our suppliers (such as accommodation or transport providers) have their own booking conditions or conditions of carriage, and these conditions are binding between you and the supplier. Some of these conditions may limit or remove the relevant transport provider’s or other supplier’s liability to you. You can get copies of such conditions from our offi ces, or the offi ces of the relevant supplier.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF I HAVE TO COMPLAIN?If you have a complaint during your holiday you should tell the driver/representative or supplier at the earliest opportunity so that they can do their utmost to resolve the problem immediately. If they are unable to resolve the problem to your satisfaction you should complete a Holiday Report Form which is available from the driver/representative. You will be given a copy of this report which you should keep. If, on your return from holiday, you remain dissatisfi ed you should write within 28 days to Customer Relations Manager, Dodds of Troon Ltd, 4 East Road, Ayr KA8 9BA In your letter you will need to quote your booking reference number, holiday number, departure date and the Holiday Report Form reference, which you completed at the time. If you do not tell us at the earliest opportunity about a problem giving rise to your complaint we cannot take steps to investigate and rectify it. In deciding how to respond to your complaint we will take into account the date you fi rst drew the problem to the attention of our driver/representative or supplier.

IF I DO NOT AGREE WITH YOUR DECISION CAN I REQUEST ARBITRATION?Yes you can. If we cannot resolve your complaint amicably you may request that the dispute is referred to an independent arbitration scheme established by the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT). Full details of this scheme will be provided on request or you can obtain a copy from CPT. This arbitration scheme provides a simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on documents alone with restricted liability on the customer in respect of costs. This scheme does not apply to claims for an amount greater than £1500 per person. There is also a limit of £7500 per booking. Normally there is a time limit of 9 months from the date of return from your holiday within which to request arbitration but in exceptional circumstances the scheme can be used beyond this date. This scheme does not apply to claims that arise mainly in respect of physical injury or illness or the consequences of any illness or injury.

COACH SEATINGThere is a seating plan of the coach for each holi-day, but it is possible that on occasions operational reasons will require a coach with a different confi guration to be used. We therefore reserve the right to alter a coach seating plan and allocate seats other than those you have booked. Requests for particular seats can be made on most holidays when booking but because allocations are made on a fi rst come, fi rst served basis you are recommended to book early. When your booking is confi rmed you will be offered the seats that are available at that time. If you know someone who may want to book later but sit near you please discuss this with the booking clerk at the time you make your booking. Specifi c seats will not be allocated on coaches which operate on feeder services between joining points and main holiday departure points, on coaches which carry out transfers to and from seaports or on coaches operating a feeder service to or from the main tour coach.

HEALTH & SAFETY ON HOLIDAYIn some foreign countries, standards of infrastructure, safety and hygiene may be lower than those to which we are accustomed in the UK. You should therefore exercise greater care for your own protection. Further information can be obtained from your GP or from your travel agent who can provide you with the leafl et “Health Advice for Travellers” published by the Department of Health. Some people may be at risk from discomfort or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) if they remain immobile on a journey for a long period of time. If you are planning to undertake a bus or coach journey of more than 3 hours you should consult your doctor if you have ever had DVT or pulmonary embolism, a family history of clotting conditions, cancer or treatment for cancer, a stroke, heart or lung disease or if you have had major surgery in the past 3 months. We reserve the right to refuse any booking in the absence of a doctor’s certifi cate confi rming that you are fi t to travel. During the journey we will provide comfort stops as frequently as possible. During these stops you are encouraged to get off the coach and walk around. Exercise reduces any discomfort which may be caused by periods of immobility. During any journey you should drink alcohol only in moderation as it leads to dehydration.

PASSENGER BEHAVIOURWe want all our customers to have a happy and carefree holiday. But you must remember that you are responsible for your behaviour and the effect it may have on others. If you or any member of your party is abusive or disruptive or behaves in a way which, in our reasonable opinion, could cause damage or injury to others or affect their enjoyment of their holiday, or which could damage property, we have the right, after reasonable consideration, to terminate your contract with us. If this happens we will have no further obligations or liability to you. The coach driver/representative, ship’s captain, or authorised offi cial of other means of transport is entitled to refuse you boarding if in their reasonable opinion you are unacceptably under the infl uence of drink or drugs or you are being violent or disruptive. If you are refused boarding on the outward journey we will regard it as a cancellation by you and we will apply cancellation charges according to the scale detailed above. If the refusal is on the return journey we have the right to terminate the contract and will have no further obligations or liability to you.

NO SMOKING POLICYWe operate a strict no smoking policy on all our coaches. We make frequent comfort stops.

PICK UP POINT, ITINERARIES, TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORTYou are responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct departure point, at the correct time, with the correct documents and we cannot be held liable for any loss or expense suffered by you or your party because of an incorrect passport or late arrival at the departure point. If you are a British citizen travelling outside the United Kingdom you must have a full UK passport valid for a minimum of three months after your scheduled date of return. Non-UK citizens must seek passport and visa advice from the consulates of the countries you plan to visit prior to making a booking for one of our holidays The name on the passport must match the name on the ticket. If someone in your party changes name after the booking is made you must tell us immediately so that we can issue the ticket in the new name. Approximately three weeks prior to departure we will send you or your booking agent all the necessary labels so that you receive them in good time for your holiday. Certain travel documents may have to be retained by us and your driver/courier will then issue them to you at the relevant time. If you lose a travel document after it has been issued to you we will require you to meet the direct cost charged by the carrier/supplier for the issue of a duplicate or replacement. Dodds Coach Tours and North British Tours reserve the right to modify itineraries to conform with requests from the competent authorities in the United Kingdom and any other sovereign state through which the tour will operate. Included excursions are listed on the relevant brochure page and refunds will not be made for any excursion not taken.. Admission fees to buildings, grounds etc. are not included in the price of the holiday unless otherwise stated on the relevant brochure page.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM DELAYED?Your travel insurance may cover you for some delays. In addition where you are delayed for more than six hours in any one day we will seek to minimise any discomfort

WHAT ASSISTANCE WILL YOU GIVE ME IF THINGS GO WRONG WHEN IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT?If you, or any member of your party, suffer death, illness or injury whilst overseas arising out of an activity which does not form part of your package travel arrangements or an excursion arranged through us in the UK, we shall at our discretion, offer advice, guidance and assistance. Where legal action is contemplated and you want our assistance, you must obtain our written consent prior to commencement of proceedings. Our

consent will be given subject to you undertaking to assign any costs, benefi ts received under any relevant insurance policy to ourselves. We limit the cost of our assistance to you and any member of your party to £5000 per party.

SPECIAL NEEDSUnfortunately, many hotels overseas do not provide adequate facilities for guests with mobility problems or who suffer from other disabilities. But whether you are planning a holiday overseas or in the UK, please notify us before you book if you or any member of your party has special needs or suffers from any disability. We are keen to plan arrangements for your holiday so that special needs and requests can be accommodated as far as possible. If you will need assistance or special facilities in the hotel, or may have diffi culties in taking part in excursions or boarding and travelling on the coach or other means of transport you must let us know in advance. Not all the holidays in this brochure may be suitable for you. We want you to enjoy your holiday and will try to help you select an appropriate trip. If you need advice or further information either you or your booking agent should contact Customer Relations Manager, Dodds of Troon Ltd, 4 East Road, Ayr KA8 9BA

SPECIAL REQUESTSIf you have a special request, we will do our best to help but, save as set out below, we cannot guarantee that it will be fulfi lled. Please inform your travel agent or us (if you are booking direct) of your request before you make your booking and ensure that you provide as much detail as possible. If fulfi lment of your special request is vital to your holiday, it must be specifi cally agreed with us before or at the time when you make your booking. We will comply with any special request which has been specifi cally agreed. General confi rmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to our supplier is not confi rmation that your request will be met. All special requests are subject to availability unless and until they are specifi cally confi rmed by us. If fulfi lment of your special request incurs any additional costs, we will either invoice this prior to your departure or inform you that it will have to be paid locally. If your special request relates to a special diet, please tell us before booking or as soon as you are medically advised and send us a copy of the diet. We will contact the hotel or hotels on your holiday but please note that some hotels may not have facilities to cope with special diets and we cannot be held liable for their failure to do so unless we have specifi cally confi rmed to you that

a special diet will be catered for. Where we think that a hotel is unlikely to be able to cope with a special diet we will tell you prior to issuing a booking confi rmation so that you can exercise your right to cancel without charge.

SINGLE OCCUPANCYSingle occupancy of rooms when available may be subject to a supplementary charge and this will be shown on the brochure page.

DATA PROTECTION ACTIn order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we, and your travel agent, need to use the information you provide such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be supplied to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law. We will not, however, pass information on to any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities or dietary/religious requirements. If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. In making this booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons. Please note that where information is held by your travel agent, this is subject to your agent’s own data protection policy. Your data controller is the Customer Relations Manager. You are entitled to a copy of your information held by us. If you would like to see this, please contact us. We retain your full contact details and other information in secure fi les and electronic storage facilities. We may use this information to contact you by mail, telephone or electronic means.
