• On June 11, 1963, President Kennedy intervened when Alabama Governor George Wallace blocked the doorway to the University of Alabama to stop two African American students from attending.

• Wallace moved when confronted by the deputy attorney general and the Alabama National Guard that JFK had federalized.

Conclusion

• John F. Kennedy was a inspiration and a proud leader. A man who went through personal tragedies and pain, but still resolved world crisis. The day he died continues to be a day of sadness for all. His actions and triumphs are still being felt today.
