BASIC ROLE DETAILS TITLE: HR Business Partner REGION: DEPARTMENT: Human Resources JOB GRADE: OPERATIONAL MANAGER: HR Manager FUNCTIONAL MANAGER: ROLES REPORTING INTO THE ROLE: HR Advisor, HR Advisor – Recruitment, HR Administrator ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Provides HR support, advice and expertise in relation to the delivery of the HR strategy and the achievement of TAQA Bratani’s business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Works closely with the HR Manager and the Leadership Team to plan, develop and implement the HR strategy and HR policies and practices which support business improvement objectives and enhance employee engagement. Provides specialist advice and guidance to management on all aspects of HR policy, employment legislation and employee relations. Reviews and develops HR policies, procedures and systems and takes an active role in implementing these consistently throughout the company. Maintains an up to date understanding of the short, medium and long term strategic and operational requirements of the business by developing and maintaining highly effective and focused relationships with client groups and closely aligns HR support to their business objectives. Takes a lead role in the development of highly effective relationships with HR service providers e.g. recruitment consultants, employment law advisors and other relevant suppliers and ensures the quality and value of these services and products. Works closely with the HR Manager to identify, plan and deliver HR projects and initiatives e.g. employee communication and consultation, employee relations, employee retention, employee wellbeing – both onshore and offshore. Works closely with the Recruitment/HR Advisor, Learning & Development Business Partner and line managers to develop employee resourcing and development plans. Takes an active role in the recruitment process, particularly in relation to senior/key positions and in the promotion of continuous learning and development across the company. As a key member of the Emergency Response Team, participates in the call-out rota and provides a high standard of HR-related support in relation to incidents and emergencies and ensures the provision of a high standard of response in such situations.

Provides professional and practical guidance and support to other members of the HR Department and enhances their learning and development.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

Essential

Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Offshore Safety Training Certificate

Preferred

Degree qualified LLM/Employment Law qualification

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Essential

Significant practical experience in a senior generalist HR role Experience of working closely with senior management in the provision of HR services and support Good knowledge of best HR practice and UK employment legislation Firsthand knowledge and experience of the UK oil and gas industry

Preferred

Experience of working within an Operator environment Experience of working within an HR Business Partner model

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS Willingness to travel offshore Excellent communication skills Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels – internally and externally Well-developed internal consultancy skills and experience High level of commercial awareness and numerical ability IT literate: HR systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - intermediate level Experience of managing change Ability to be proactive and pragmatic and delivers results Creative thinker with the ability to introduce new concepts and ideas Excellent planning and organisational skills
