College In college he attended Mississippi Valley State University. He quickly became an outstanding WR. He got the nickname World because he could catch any ball thrown to him. His records in college were receptions, receiving yards, and most TD receptions in a game.

The NFL Jerry Rice was chosen by the 49ers. He played with the 49ers for 15 years before after the 2000 season Rice left the 49ers and signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders. Quarterbacks Jerry Rice was able to play with some amazing quarterbacks. He got to play with Joe Montana, Steve Young and Rich Gannon.
