Key clients and projects

1. E.ON, Robin Rigg, Solway Firth

Cable span monitoring on array cables

Jee specialises in cable monitoring as part of our wider integrity management services.

For this project we deployed accelerometers on a number of spanning array cables from different turbines in a wind farm. Cable motion and fatigue was then determined for the cables.

2. National Grid, Southern North Sea

CCS pipeline conceptual design

Drawing on our experience in subsea pipeline engineering, we provided the conceptual design of a pipeline to transport carbon dioxide offshore as part of a wider CCS project.

The feasibility study involved investigating offshore facility options, pipeline sizing, flow calculations and cost modelling.

Jee also approached stakeholders and obtained key contacts for the ongoing development of the project.

3. Fluor, Southern North Sea

Pull-in analysis of array cables for an offshore wind farm

Jee investigated the potential hazards associated with an exposed section of subsea cable for a new wind farm in the North Sea. We examined the different cable protection solutions available for mitigating the risk of cable failure. 

Protection methods went through qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, plus a more detailed analysis using Orcaflex.
